His life was long and well-lived. A life well-lived albeit short is one of my ardent wishes before the earth calls me and I strive hard to fulfill it every single day bec. I won't even reach more than half his age in life due to some sickness. A hero to many in the architectural discipline, may I.M. Pei rest in peace.

I remember last year I gave a presentation on sir I.M. Pei, and I told my colleagues that he was still giving lectures and working at 101 years old.... but now he has left us. As an architecture enthusiast, I.M. Pei has always been someone I look up to, and the concepts he uses in his architecture are really inspiring. Rest in peace, we will all miss you dearly.

Steve Owens you can’t just say that his architectures were trash, it might be something different from your taste. At least he earned important things during his lifetime because of his works. But I honestly think that he’s an awesome architect :)

Sometimes those with great minds live so long. According to Taosim, the body is a projection of the mind. Given that every musclulosketetal movement is nerve based, and that everything results from genes, etc, I can't argue perfectly, but on a basic level, it makes sense

Also, you cannot judge a man completely by how he shapes his buildings. He is still up against finance, construction capability, regulation, policy, space restriction, etc. So, when a painter paints they can paint whatever. Not really limited. An architect is limited by all that other stuff and more. Still, only in creativity can we channel the limitless of our ability to reach that bigger-ness, or that unlimited-ability, still limited by the fact that we are human, into something more
