I'm playing MH Wilds live from Gamescom (in German)

Hey guys Chris here, I will be streaming from 18:00 - 18:45pm CEST live from the Monster Hunter booth at Gamescom. Capcom asked me to stream in German so I wanted to let you all know that I will not be able to speak English during this stream, I'm very sorry guys :( ... But rest assured I got you all covered with some spicy Wilds videos showing my gameplay I recorded at the events, as well as my impressions of the game with the two weapons I played. The video(s) will be fully in English as usual!

@@yourdad5799 I Think speed sharpening will increase how much sharpness you get with one cycle. so your character will allways go for the full Sharpness Meter and having less cycles will decrease the time you need

Tbh I prefer it this way. SAED feels like you just fish for that one move for 20 minutes while Savage/Power Axe playstyle (Wild playstyle basically) let you use the entire weapon’s kit. Besides, if SAED is that weak I’m sure they will buff it during the DLC like usual

My gut reaction was, "great, now SAED has an even greater time commitment and most certainly won't work with higher difficulty monsters who will absolutely punish this move." Yes, you can SAED after guard point but that's nothing new. My question is, can we only go directly to SAED after guard point or is there another way? What do you all think? I'm hopeful there are more combat secrets/moves we haven't seen yet.

The Power Clash seems to be a new mechanic, in the weapon trailers you can see some of them. I've seen there are for Greatsword, Gunlance and Heavy Bowgun (and Charge Blade obv). Haven't seen too much about it, but I *think* it's done some time when you perfect block an attack?

I managed to defeat 2 Doshagumas but wasn't able to defeat Reydou befor the timer ran out. But it was extremely fun though, i even got to see Balaharas sand trap move activate on a Doshaguma and the awesome turf war between Reydou and Doshaguma.

​@@Aquanex2 They literally did that because of all the new players who complained that there wasn't a good enough near death indicator. The result is an impossible to miss "HEY YOU, YOU GOT HIT FUCKING HARD, HEAL UP" which I think is nice. I sometimes get too DRAWN INTO A FIGHT, and forget my health has been tanked like a boiled chicken. It's useful in the fact its a noticeable notification you took massive damage. IDC if you dont like it. I think it's beautiful. Now I literally can't miss the fact I could die in one more hit.

Honestly not being able to SAED from neutral is fine. I feel like doing power axe (savage axe) AED> AED follow up and comboing in in out of sword > axe is gonna feel really good. Then u can guard point SAED when needed or when there is a big opening AED> AED follow up> SAED.

Anyone know if this is a guard point at 27:09? If anyone speaks German, what was he saying in the past 10 seconds? It says perfect guard at the top right, but the Chatacabra took damage from the block (maybe normal blocks deal damage with shield charge now and it's not specific to guard points anymore). I'm inclined to think it was a guard point and that guard points are considered perfect blocks; however the circle animation is the same one he did when blocking. It also says guard at the top right instead of morph slash.

Ist optional. Nur wenn du nichts berührst und es ist im auto auch langsamer. Wenn du sprint drückst geht es aus dem auto mode raus, finde das ist sehr nice umgesetzt tatsächlich!

I think they actually mentioned on one of the live streams on the Monster Hunter Channel that you'd be able to choose a voice that doesn't speak real words. Don't know if it's quite Nyan Nyan but will probably be closer to how Palico's sound in other games. It's apparently just not available in this showcase
