Caleb recently went sober, one week before writing riptide actually. In a interview with Finn Mckenty he did a few months ago right after riptide came out, Caleb said that anything before now was just 50% - 75% Caleb but now he's at 110% and has an energy like he's never had before. This new positive twist is a result of him being sober but also of him just being done with the bullshit in his life and I have to say I'm absolutely here for it! 🌞

He is trying to get better but I'm afraid this song shows just how badly he is fighting internally.. The lyrics are bi polar that's for sure and before you impale me just know I suffer from bi polar and this sings to me.
