The Audi R8 is widely considered one of the best "daily drivable" super cars that has ever existed. Most would consider the Audi R8 a dream car. Unfortunately, for me, owning an Audi R8 was a very distant dream. Until this particular Audi R8 popped up, wrecked at salvage auction.
Tons of modifications, high factory options and minimal damage. This Audi R8 almost looked too good to be true at salvage auction. The major damage to the front end on this Audi R8 is certainly the main cause for concern. But, the beautiful supercharger in the engine bay has me with stars in my eyes! Hopefully this Audi R8 is as easy of a fix as it appeared in pictures. The only thing that I am certain of, is that I will be sourcing all my parts to repair this Audi R8 from eBay motors!

As a powder coater myself, might i suggest Prismatic Powders "Cadillac Gray" for the rims. Its a sharp dark metallic between a dark silver and black and is high gloss. Its an absolute stunning color on rims.

Removing the wing back seats would be unthinkable in the UK, love the projects, the LS swaps in to German cars would also be unthinkable here, we have very different attitudes to things as your muscle cars don't come here through dealers except the Mustang they tried. Your car, your choice. Keep up the good videos.

Hi, I understand “Different strokes for different folks” and respect that and I also get that German technical bent of “don’t mess with years of technical invention”. In Australia though, an LS swapped Porsche would be welcomed here with open arms by most. We love our V8’s down here. As they say “there is no substitute for cubic inches”. I imagine the seats going into this to make for a more comfortable ride will still be pretty special. Best of all “Gotta love a Supercharger”. Excuse me whilst I wipe away my drool. 2 things i have wanted in this life. to shift my business to a format like yours, eBay motors. Focusing on higher end parts, and I want to own a junk Yard. strictly for fun so I would have to hire people to run it, even if it just broke even. Just so I can enjoy my retirement lol I'm 53 though and retired, I wont ever be able to afford it. Plus i don't know NEAR enough. I would need to find someone like yall to do a free apprentice type thing.

Interesting on the cooling fan differences. I am kind of a nerd when it comes to part numbers and things that are compatible on other cars. It would have been interesting to cross reference the part #'s because to me the fan with the metal shroud looks like the fan could be from an all road. Oddly enough the R8/Lambo fan with integrated plastic shroud sells for MUCH more money.

Cool ride dude , I’m with you on the wheel colour I hate it I’m also with you on the seats as I’m a tad portly ( that’s posh for fat lol ) and those sort of seats are just uncomfortable to me ! Couple of old lounge recliner chairs would do nicely 🤣 looking forward to seeing this one being rebuilt 👍

Not necessarily, many times on cars like that, they just cut their losses because if they start fixing it, and then find more damage, they end up, upside down, or stuck fixing something that shouldn't have been fixed, and have been sued and lost over future issues, so they just cut a check for as little as possible, and as a owner, you better hope your properly insured.

My main issue with the "my garage" feature in ebay is that a lot of the top search results will show dumb cheap Chinese universal spoilers/splitters or diffuser addons etc and not actual oem parts for my 2017 Camaro SS.

The led lights suck the rest is cutt and paste. I just did one in 5 months as a hobbyist. I rebuilt the L.ed now that sucked ass. Lol. Rest was easy. Even the door harness is coded . If you change the doors, keep the original wiring .

You really need to check the bulkhead, these are notorious for cracking of the bulhead which is hidden behind the wiper motor and washer bottle, even on non crashed cars.....
