Can’t wait to hear it! In regards to the anxiety of releasing it this is of course very normal. Any time an artist (which you do now qualify as having written and recorded a song) is faced with the thought of revealing their work to the public, especially for the first time, you can’t help but be a bit nervous. It’s actually good you have those anxious feelings though, it means your care for the art you’ve created. I, as someone who’s published a few novels, can speak to that feeling being concerned about other’s opinions being a bit overwhelming at first but what beat it for me was understanding that… 1. Everything isn’t gonna be for everybody, and that’s ok, 2. Typically the art an artist creates (paintings, writings, music, ect.) is usually but not always just an extension of the artist themself, meaning the majority of the people who hear the song are probably gonna love it because the majority of the people who are gonna hear it, at least initially, whether family, friends, or KZbin subscribers already love you so loving your art is gonna be easy 3. As long as you the artist had fun making it and are proud of what you made, that’s all that matters. When an artist is happy and proud of their work no comment, review, or critique can take away the joy of seeing, hearing, or touching something they created. I’m sure you’ve felt something like those feelings before if you’ve ever watched back your theatre performances Also don’t feel the need to promote if you’re not feeling it, just shadow-drop if that feels easier. Put it out, let the fam, friends, and followers know, and then just let KZbin’s algorithm decide what happens next. Be easy Ashley, you’re gonna be great ✌🏽❤️
