That would be interesting... Making real open source project of this, imo just rescaling and rework game into UE4/5 which support today HW would be fokin awesome. Would be mindblowned if they run and open server with that... I would love to pay subscription on server like that, lets say about 10-15€ month.

I did something very simmilar in the past. I've also added some VR stuff to run arround in Talking Island. I have lots of old code laying arround which parses stuff directly from the gameclient. If you are interested, just let me know (i also wrote some kind of sound manager which mimics the environment sound from the game). My biggest issue back than was the parsing of the custom geometry (the brushes from the editor). You did a very nice job!

This game was my childhood game, i love it so much!!! Me and my mates never stoped playing the game even now that we are all in our fourties. I love it, the theme of all this will be how stable your FPS will be in a massive PVP of 200vs200, it would be good if you included some lights when it gets dark and the sky looks as if it were night and in the cities and Citios the lights look a little more relevant

This is a great work of art. Not too different from a painting. You are recreating something beautiful while still wanting to give it an original twist. Almost a year ago I started studying programming on my own. So far I thought I was only meant to solve problems and create solutions, never have I wondered about the idea of creating something beautiful with it. I am creating custom Lineage 2 client using Unity as well, unlike in a vid visuals are more like original, so it can even be confused, looking at the screens. It is created on a paid basis and is intended to be used in conjunction with a real L2 server. If you wish i can share screens.

As for the solution for the UV scale, it should be a simple math problem. Come up with a point of reference for the scale. Finally you want to get to multiplying the scale of the UV based on how much (multiplied) is the scale of the mesh (plane) relative to some default and correct values you set - i think i would keep that default value in a custom datatype as a pair. Example: UV scale of 1, X size 1 and Y size of 1. (Or whatever values are correct.) Then if you get a plane with dimensions of X and Y higher or lower than your default, calculate how many times more it's larger or smaller - for example you get 1.5 times larger plane than your default, multiply the UV scale on that mesh by 1.5 as well. Edit: that, but in reverse? I might be wrong idk i'm just wildly guessing.
