I've been a Mang0 fan for years, and before that I was a huge M2K guy, but hearing Hbox say he wants to see if he can still climb to the top in melee has got me hyped!! The ssbm scene is truly blessed

Same, I knew somewhat of competitive Smash since the 2000s since I would always watch combo videos, but the Melee doc opened my eyes to the scene when I saw it in like 2018 (of course the same time Armada retired smh). But I visited Apex 2021 as my first tournament live viewing and it was cool. I recommend watching Apex 2013 Top 8 for old time sake, it's hilarious and hype XD

Wow, I'm really happy for this news and I haven't played a second past 1:20! I've been yapping everywhere that Hbox would be on top with more melee focus, especially with m2k coaching! I only worry 90 days isn't enough, I hope if it starts to show results that you extend the Detox even more! And as a viewer I'm biased because I'm just more excited for melee, it feels like Jigglypuff is a top tier in that game and Hbox's skill can shine through that, while in ultimate it's like there's soooo many new and better characters and it's just not the same when you have to choose between being loyal to puff or playing to reach a top level. We all know he could play at top level with lots of practice and a new pick but returning to the top of melee as king with puff in the new era is just a better story imo. Maybe I'm wrong but that's how I take it (Sakurai did just released a video with global ultimate win rates; matchups not included "Every character has about a 48% to 54% win rate on average" - Sakurai paraphrased)

The To-Go Box souds interesting I assume it'll use slippi for the melee side if that is the case would it be possible to enter the To-Go box as someone living in europe or will it be just NA (which i would understand in terms of ultimate but maybe when using slippi it could be possible to also offer something for the scene over the pond) even such a simple and small bracket would probably bring me back into grinding more

I would love to see the To-Go Box also experiment with alternate Melee rulesets. Try changing the timer or using different stages. It's the perfect type of event to try it

I love that the two gods remaining are in the same path of healing themselves physically and mentally. As well as locking in Melee to try to win a Super Major. You both are really Ying and Yang. In addition to the 90-day detox, Hungrybox will also be competing in Combo Breaker this weekend, which will be his first ever Melee tournament at Combo Breaker. He wants to compete as soon as possible to address the issues he identified during his latest performance at Gumml.
