'I'm Scared of Cops, Bro': Suspect Drags Cop While Fleeing Traffic Stop

Authorities say bodycam footage allegedly shows an officer holding onto a suspect's car as he flees a traffic stop on August 27. The Port St. Lucie Police Department said the suspect told the officer that he's "scared of cops, bro," before driving off when asked to step out of the car.

No, the cop was just saying that as an excuse to jam him up, so he could try to find a reason to ticket or arrest the kid. You clearly have never encountered a cop in your life. If a cop says "I smell weed", you say, "bullsht, you're lying, call your supervisor, you lost your privilege to talk to me, Ill wait till they arrive." Then when the supervisor shows up, you tell them "the officer is fishing, you haven't done anything illegal, you're not in possession of anything illegal, and you'd like to be on your way." Then the supervisor will usually let you go... unless they're crooked too...which happens.

When the cop called dispatch he never mentioned anything about speeding or smoking. He immediately turned to the girl and asked her if she had a gun in her car, like he was looking for things to add to the charge sheet. At the end of the day, the cop did not have to grab the car, open the door and then hold on to it as though he could use his bodyweight to stop the car accelerating away. This is why policing is so bent.. at no time was he placed under arrest, no rights were read to him at any point, so he wasn't resisting arrest, secondly there was no violence at any point and the car was never used as any form of weapon.. he simply drove off in a straight line.
