I think there's a lot more to this story than will be told to the public. She's a member of the AGO's office, as well as a law professor, so she is very likely normally a level-headed person for whom this behavior is aberrant. It's also very likely that she received some kind of unexpected very bad news, or whatever, that triggered something in her mind that she simply couldn't cope with. I don't know, I'm not in that area, don't even live in that state, and don't know anyone there. I'm just thinking from the perspective of someone who was told her son was killed in an accident, and how bizarrely I behaved for two days after (I didn't even attempt to drive, though, not being able to think clearly enough to get behind the wheel). Terrible news does things to the mind that are incomprehensible to those who've never experienced it. I'm not saying that happened, and I'm not trying to justify what she did. I'm merely saying that I wonder if....

"Allegedly" in the LEGAL definition, not the standard textbook definition. It's "alleged" until proven in court, since one is innocent until proven guilty. News agencies use that word and definition or other similar words, so as to not get sued for slander should the person be found innocent. Additionally, so as to not go against the U.S. justice system.

It is interesting to know that whenever cops are actually well within their rights to open fire and shoot a suspect, they don't for some reason...I feel like they could've stopped her earlier from this rampage instead of letting her go. Just like they didn't shoot the Buffalo shooter despite being a clear threat. Although they captured they subway shooter without any problem. I just find it interesting to say the least with this observation

3:28 -- I did EMT work for a bit, and I liked to wear a vest that enabled me to put a small 'flood-light" on it, just like that cop. That's so much more handy than a head-lamp. They're only about 200 lumens -- or at least the model that I have, but they're a 'flood', not a spot... so not much range, but plenty of area illumination in the space near you. Very good stuff. That cop has a ton of pens.

That vest-mounted flood-light sounds perfect for an EMT, because most of your work is up close. You are trying to stop bleeding and other up close things. An additional head lamp couldn't hurt, they are cheap and light.

One pen could be a James bond spy pen too or is Austin powers?
@lironmtnranch47652 жыл бұрын
Flood versus head mounted spot are two completely different use cases; right tool for the job and all. Flood is mainly useful for close area work without other light sources constantly resetting your night vision. For hunting and S&R, a flood lamp can make vision worse by over-illuminating nearby objects while leaving everything beyond a few foot radius pitch dark. Head mount has another advantage when it comes to retroreflectors. There are certain species of spiders you won't see at all with a hand or breast mounted flood light but with a head mounted lamp you can see every spider's eyes light up even 30 feet out.

Can someone please explain to me the meaning of allegedly? You have video of the infraction/crime and still have to by law use allegedly and suspect?
@danr43162 жыл бұрын
Video evidence and ONLY video evidence doesn't prove guilt. There is a procedure for proving guilt and video evidence or any evidence is only part of the procedure and process. The standard textbook definition of "allegedly" doesn't apply since it's a legal issue; therefore, you use the LEGAL definition. Paraphrased, it's alleged until proven in court as one is innocent until proven guilty.
