I did it, fellas. This past Saturday, after watching a few videos here, I decided was the time to let it go. My hair was extremely thin at the front, and I'd always be brushing it forwards with my hands so that it appeared fuller and my forehead wasn't looking massive. It was receding on both sides and I had a small but obvious bald patch on the crown that I'd always be messing with to try and minimise its appearance. I'd stand in front of the mirror with my smartphone camera on selfie mode, then hold it behind my head to manipulate the hair to cover it up, failing of course. It was absolutely ridiculous and I'd had enough and it was bringing me down. Went to the barber on Saturday morning and whopped it all off. I haven't shaved it with a razor and I don't know if I will, but it's done and nobody has even laughed or made any negative comments. I think it's all just something you build up to be bigger than it really is and nobody really cares in reality. I've had a few comments saying it suits me and that it brings out my short beard more. So, done, now to get used to it. Really happy to have found this channel and read so many similar stories.

Welcome to being a bad ass. I have massive love for anyone going through this. I was 23 when I was out partying and someone made a comment about me hiding my balding hair. (I had an epiphany It was honestly atrocious seeing how I’d brushed it forward and stuck it down with gel trying to hide who I was) I went home. Drunk. Cried and shaved off my hair with clippers, gel still in it. I woke up the next day with a feeling of absolute relief. I got a bic razor and finished the job. I can honestly say this was a defining moment in my life. I now love being bald. It’s become part of my personality and helped me become the real me. I’m now 40 confident and happy. If I was given the option to grow my hair back tomorrow I’d ask to just have it all removed so I don’t have to shave it anymore. Embrace who you are and be strong. We love you dude 🙏

I'm 59 now. I started to notice a receding hair line at 32. Over the years I have adjusted my hairstyle to account for the gradual changes. Recently, back in November I was at a tradeshow. I was shooting basketball for fun. My co-worker took a video of me. The video caught me mainly from the backside. Well, I looked at the video and noticed a large balding area (male pattern) on the upper center backside of my head that I was not aware was that pronounced. Anyway, yesterday I decided that I should start preparing for the inevitable. I buzzed it all off! Now I need to get it tanned like the rest of my face and body usually is because I'm in the sun on weekends most of the year being here in Miami. Anyway, I wish all those here a great new year and if you don'tlike that male pattern hair loss and don't want to spend a a fortune using Finestaride and Minoxidol then go ahead and take charge and buzz that hair! You will still be you!

Bro, I'm not scared at all anymore. I have it extremely short, as short as you can go with a trimmer, but I've now started massaging my scalp every day because I don't want to just give up on my hair. I still believe. In addition to stimulating my scalp, I'm using natural alternatives. There are supplements that also reduce dht and promote growth without causing side effects. Many guys have had a bad experience with those medications and some said that it made things worse. A good diet is very important. Eliminate added sugar, bread, and dairy. Avoid harsh chemicals. Fasting will also help to detoxify your body, but proper massaging, not exfoliating, is going to make a huge positive impact. I highly recommend it. By the way, hair follicles never completely die, they just go dormant. There are men who have made recoveries without prescriptions.

Taking one finasteride pill a day takes you 5 seconds of your day while shaving your head clean bald takes you about 5 to 10 minutes of your day. Do the math and make your choice I guess. It's 2024 , there is no need to go throught the pain of going bald and keep it bald anymore. Science has come a long way, let's enjoy it. If you are fine to " have to " shave your head and have no choices in terms of hairstyle anymore ... then go for it and shave it all off. To each their own I guess
@lordwiadro835 ай бұрын
I think the rationale of many guys who come to this channel is that they don't want to be dependent on something (like finasteride) in order to save their hair. Guess what, now they are dependent on safety razors and have to shave their heads every second day. I would understand if someone has really tried treatment but they had side effects that they couldn't overcome for a long time. Then of course, shaving the head is the only remaining option. But most of them have not even tried.
@Suttpups5 ай бұрын
Its been a month since i shaved my head and the razor takes me 5 min max, TBH i reckon i would have just stood there in the shower enjoying the warm water either way for that 5 min hahahahah so shaving doesnt add any time onto my day. Medications = Possible Health Side Effects Razor = Looking like a king Now do that math :)
@lordwiadro835 ай бұрын
@Suttpups Ok, so be bald. It is your head, after all. Me, I prefer to have a choice. I can shave my head any time when I want to. But you, you have to.
@exactly11765 ай бұрын
@@Suttpupspossible side effects (yes it's true but not for most people). So I would suggest people to at least try medications for at least a year before shaving their head. Most people try it, are doing fine with it and are happy with the results and the hairloss problem is solved and no need to shave the hair. My problem with the shaved head (going bald) is the lack of options in terms of hairstyle. I personally saved my hair with medications (for more than 11 years already) I still have my hair and I can have fun doing any hairstyle I want (long hair, short hair, crew cut, buzzcut etc.. ) I can even go full clean shave for fun and let it grow again etc... Also saying that a shaved head looks like a " King " .. well .. it's a way to cope with your condition imo. Most people look better with hair than bald and that's a fact. Of course a shave head is better than a super balding head of hair I agree with that but then again, we are in 2024 and medications have come a long way and work fantastic (hairtransplant also are an option nowadays).
