I don't agree with you in a lot of spots you said. But every area or location you or i play , has the own dynamic of game and specific strategy will work to beat that specific dynamic of game. Yes, poker is to play the player if you want to make the maximum money. Keep in mind, game selection is the most important and maximize your winning at that specific session.

There's more info about where the hands come from in the website www.chaipokeracademy.com/live-poker As I mentioned somewhere else in the comments, the cheat sheets are designed to help you make otherwise tricky decisions with confidence. It's best to make your decision based on player type, but many times we don't have that information available. And even if we do, we can't compute which future/alternate lines are best on the fly. I do the off-table work for you, and it's a really great price. Knowing your game is also vital. Ultimately, knowing your game just means knowing how the individual players in your pool play. One person in the comments said that their game is nitty, but most of my live students have told me that their games are super loose/station-y. Still, the fact that so many online and live poker data trends overlap teaches us that there's a bigger picture that poker players are missing without mass data analysis. Definitely recommend checking out the free bluffing guide on the website and giving it some thought!

There’s no way live players bluff more than online on average, low stakes live players massively under bluff the river for big sizes and almost never bluff raise the river, in general it’s harder to bluff live because you have to keep it together while someone is staring you down, also some players won’t bluff simply because they don’t want to feel embarrassed

I think it depends a lot on the specific game. I've had a lot of students who told me even months ago (before I had any data) that people were just massively over-calling some spots where online people over-fold.

There is no such thing as a Nash Equilibrium in NLH. For ANY strategy, there is a counter-strategy that will beat it.

I move in on the river with a pot sized bet. I am bluffing exactly one third the time with the nut low. Two-thirds of the time I have the nuts. What is your counter-strategy to beat that?

@@GRice999 If you're only bluffing one third of the time, I will probably be folding more. For a pot sized bet, I have to win half the time to be profitable. And I'm losing more than half of the time, so I would fold more against you when you make pot sized river bets. Now, if you were bluffing half the time, I would have to call half of the time, because we would reach the Nash Equilibrium where there is no counter strategy to either of our play.

Nash Equilibrium exists in NLH, as NLH is a game with a finite set of actions. Nash proved this. The Nash strategy is a strategy that can't be beaten. GRice999 gave an example of such a strategy in poker.

@@elizabethg-rj5tg The solution to GRice999's problem is that you are indifferent to call or fold with a hand that only beats the bluffs. It doesn't matter how often you call. It all has the same EV (zero). Therefore, no best counter strategy exists. However, to make the aggressor indifferent for the frequency of his bluffs, you should call half the time. If the aggressor would bluff half the time on a pot sized bet, you would not be indifferent. You should call always and not be folding anything because you get odds of 2:1. This is an exploit of the overbluffing strategy of the aggressor and maximizes the EV of the defender. The EV of this strategy is 1/3 pot which is bigger than zero (always folding). Any other strategy than always calling has an EV of less than 1/3 pot.
