Love your video, dude. My wife and I spent some good amount of time in Da Nang, this brought back memories. I’m an older, random white guy who speaks very broken Tiếng Việt and I found the Vietnamese as being very friendly…well, for me, a smile is international and karma is a thing so being cool to someone tends to yield the same. Agree, 9.5/10 for sure!

Awesome video. Love how honest you are about your feelings about certain things in a respectful way eg feeling people are rude at first until they get to know you. Most on YT would make a generic statement about how everyone is so friendly (even if they're not). Also appreciate the open comparisons to your own cultural background!

I agree with u for the most part except the fact that Vietnamese girls dress super conservatively. I live in Hanoi, the northern part which they say is much more conservative than Saigon, but I see a lot of women here wearing however they like. Especially during hot season, you can see more skin (i’m not trying to be offensive here). Yes there are conservative leaning people in Vietnam, but it's definitely not as conservative as countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh. If u prefer ultra conservative dressed women, u should check out countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh.

One woman shook her fist at me after i came over to look at her vegetable stand, then i didnt buy anything (i was just looking), which would never happen in Thailand.

I think Vietnamese "Kinh people" is actually Chinese, like Taiwanese today. They didn't like each other, so they went separated way. That's why Chinese always claims that Viet Nam is part of China. Why i think so? Because the Kinh people looked like Chinese and the food culture is also almost the same. I think the Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Chinese have the same root very very long time ago. That's is my guess. I wished, that I can be a time traveler so that I can be sure, but honestly I don't know
