Love your video, dude. My wife and I spent some good amount of time in Da Nang, this brought back memories. I’m an older, random white guy who speaks very broken Tiếng Việt and I found the Vietnamese as being very friendly…well, for me, a smile is international and karma is a thing so being cool to someone tends to yield the same. Agree, 9.5/10 for sure!

@Hallogurl999 of course, the welfare our children are a top priority, and they are very happy traveling while homeschooling along with other traveling families and their children in the worldschooling community. We just finished a 31-day cruise with other families and 24 other children from San Francisco to Sydney and we're currently in Australia studying the wildlife here. Da Nang was one of our favorite beach cities as we traveled, the kids have a lot of friends there and it's much safer than most American cities so we will be making that a repeat destination or possibly one if our home bases. We're not sure what you mean by your statement on the welfare of the children, but we're happy to answer any questions you have! Take Care ❤️☺️

I love Vietnam, as an airline pilot it is one of my favorite countries to visit, the food is amazing and I like the fact that is very safe and you can walk at night until the late hours and not feel unsafe at any point. Da Nang is a city that I have not visited and I really want to. I agree with the beauty of the women there, in HCMC you go to the most popular cafes and it is like a fashion show, so many beautiful women, it is unreal. Also can confirm the quality and ease of purchase of tailored suits in Vietnam. I use Phi Phi tailors in HCMC, they have made 14 suits for me over the years and every time, the experience has been wonderful. I highly recommend them.

I agree with u for the most part except the fact that Vietnamese girls dress super conservatively. I live in Hanoi, the northern part which they say is much more conservative than Saigon, but I see a lot of women here wearing however they like. Especially during hot season, you can see more skin (i’m not trying to be offensive here). Yes there are conservative leaning people in Vietnam, but it's definitely not as conservative as countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh. If u prefer ultra conservative dressed women, u should check out countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh.

700 years? more like 1000 years under chinese imperial rule lol. Vietnam unlike korea was less subservient and often revolted, but the chinese always put it down. Southern nations always have less wars than northern nations, its just historical fact, not even sure the exact reason. But because the northern hemisphere experiences more wars, they are more powerful than the southern when conflicts arise. After China was fully unified under the Qing, they stopped being as militaristic and expansionist because they had control over all the lands they cared about. Unforunately europe was a different story and was still constantly in competition and war, so when the europeans came, china and by promixity east asia was easy pickings.

You have made a serious mistake, You should not speak about Vietnamese culture and history if you have not studied it thoroughly. Otherwise it will be offensive to Vietnamese people. Vietnam has strong chinese influence culturally not necessarily because of chinese colonization of over 700 years. The Vietnamese are a branch of the Baiyue people in southern China today, and due to historical circumstances they gradually moved south to form the country of Vietnam today. Even before the 1000 years of Chinese domination, there were many cultural exchanges when the two peoples lived so close to each other.
