Though remember, in boxing (especially), it's the nature of the beast to sow seeds of discord, hyperbole, and falsehoods to potentially stir up some controversy for the story and the rite of the fight. Making weight adds another layer of difficulty plus takes away from training time that’s why he wants to fight at a higher weight.
