The part about not being able to hear footsteps when you try to talk to friends is very true. I was playing with 2 other friends and we were just chilling and playing and I was like “wow, maybe footsteps aren’t that big of an issue.” But they got off before I did and I played 1 game alone and I could hear when someone was anywhere near the same building as me and I went on a 20 kill streak (which is really good for me, I haven’t done that in years) and most of my kills were from me hearing footsteps then crouch walking and pre aiming corners until I found the source of the footsteps. And it sucks because now I know that when I play with my friends, anyone who’s playing solo or in a quieter party has an insane advantage

There was no life put into this game. Not even this new player base knows how to have fun. The best example of this is S&D. Most people in the older games used to dick around before they defused the bomb. They used to run around the map, shoot bodies, purposely jump off the map before defusing it, etc.. Everyone was having FUN!!! I haven’t seen it in one game yet. People nowadays are trying to be the next NickMercs and Scump, not for the love of the game…but for the CLOUT!!! Same problem with mates when I play, we party up as 6, after 4 games 3 leave, 6 games we play on our own having 3 point conversations about how sweaty our individual lobbies are… 9 games later 1 has jumped on FIFA, 1 on Division 2 and I stay on cod trying to get a camo that doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. All in all roughly after this being a 2 hour duration we’ve all come off and gone to “touch grass” 😂

I used to love Hunt man, and before I say this I KNOW that camping an extract is a valid strategy. It is in Hunt, it is in Tarkov. But MAN... I quit playing hunt because it started to happen every single game I played, and I don't mean 1 party I'm talking the ENTIRE lobby goes to the exfils immediately and then fight for whos gonna sit there the rest of the game. Like every single time I'm the only one at the boss room and then I go to the extract and there's someone there. I always expect it to, but they have such good spots and they are so fucking relentless I beat them. I can't even run away, because I started to go to a different extract if I saw someone camping OR I would go to the less obvious extract across the fucking map and there's always someone there. ALWAYS. I can't remember the last time I had a gunfight away from an extract... every game I play I go fight the boss then die on the way out.

I feel your pain when it comes to playing Cod with friends. I'm not a good player, but I'm the best among my friends and it's so miserable whenever we play Cod Multiplayer together (from MW 2019 onwards). I hate having to constantly slide cancel, jump shot, or drop shot for every single kill and always use meta weapons just so I don't get destroyed. I like using fun guns and class setups but it's near impossible to have fun playing like that. Sbmm needs to gtfo of casual play. Put it in ranked play WHERE IT BELONGS!

Everything you said is what I'm experiencing. I can't play with friends. I'm no superstar but I think I'm an above average player and I get into some lobbies after a good game or two and literally start losing every gunfight. It's like my bullets don't hit them. It feels like when I shoot first I still drop. Then a few games later after getting reamed up the cornhole, I'm back to winning every gun fight and seemingly outwitting the other players because their skill level is lower than mine. It's a vicious cycle that never ends and it's frustrating. I see a guy and try to rush him and it feels like they are just waiting for me. I watch the kill cam and the whole time he knows I'm coming because he can hear my footsteps. I try to take advantage of in game explosions or kill streaks making noise to cover my steps but nope they are just like hurry up and come here so I can shoot you lmao. Flanking people is no longer an option. So I guess I'll start playing every game like my boy Thunder does. I already have one map where I can cheese it up and piss off people. That's the only enjoyment I get because I KNOW they are mad and calling me all types of names. This isn't the COD I remember...

Definitely intentional, there's times where I've been on a streak with ghost active and the enemy somehow know exactly where I am, the game is so catered to the less skilled players its embarrassing at this point

To be fair i do think everyone should have fun playing, even if they can’t dedicate enough time to get as good as the best players but this isnt the answer. It shouldn’t come at the cost of the fun of skilled players and this even hurts the unskilled because if they have a friend thats a bit better, they can’t play with them and have any sort of enjoyable experience. I thought the whole point of ranked was to be the SBMM and pub matches were supposed to be a mixed bag. Yeah sometimes back when I played BO2 I got obliterated but sometimes I didn’t. Some lobbies were beyond my skill level and I learned something and some lobbies were at or below my skill level. Even as a beginner it was more fun that way. That’s why I play CODM. No SBMM in public matches. It’s still a mixed bag.

I thought SBMM is supposed to protect casual players. I have about an hour of free time a day after work and taking care of my son. I’m not even good but the amount of sweat in these lobbies is insane. Everyone is bunny hopping around corners and drop shorting like their lives depend on it. I used to play COD to relax after a long day guess that’s not happening anymore
