MJ I am electrician you are overloading that plug you got too much coming out of that plug got too much amperage. You cannot plug everything into that plug your computer your pump your water heater you can’t do that OK and even though all that is on the same circuit different plugs you still can’t do that. You’re overloading the circuit Needs to run a dedicated circuit to either to the pump or the heater and please do not plug your computer in that socket because you’re gonna end up losing your computer to buy new computer. You need to have that computer plugged in to its own socket somewhere else in the house OK and that’s gonna end up starting fire in your bedroom, you cannot have everything on that plug. I’m a dedicated circuit so another words I’m saying to you you gotta run a whole new circuit from the panel box and the house to the pump in the backyard. Please do not use that receptacle anymore. It’s sparking and Arkin because it’s overheating. OK do not use it.

@BruceCinader computer upto 2amps, the water pump depends on the horsepower but cold be as little as 5amps running but could be as little as 15amp at startup, plus maybe around 4amps for water heater. That's 26amp total if the specs of the items are as described, that's not including anything else on the same circuit

it's called an outlet not socket.the socket is where you insert the bulbs.the plug is the one you insert on the outlet. your overloading the line.power line should be atleast no.12 gauge wire.or the wiring on the plug itself is compramised.try to use no.14 or better yet no.12 dor extensions and heavy duty outlet and plug.

It looks like to me you’re probably have all your plugs in your bedroom all on one circuit you need to separate them plugs and run a dedicated plug for the hot water heater outside or inside the bathroom or the pump on the outside it’s gotta be on its own circuit OK cause you wanna get you got too much on one circuit if you have all those plugs along your bedroom all in one circuit all in one circuit and you’re overloading the circuit and it’s gonna heat up. It’s gonna start a fire one of the plugs and that’s what’s happening right now the plug in your bedroom it’s overheating and sparking because there’s too much on one circuit, you need to run a dedicated circuit please make sure Robert does that. I don’t wanna fire in your house.

That issue with the bedroom socket seems like too much current draw for one socket all at once, the high power water heater and the water pump. Maybe a qualified Electrician should look at how the house is wired 🤔😬

Yeah, I’m no qualified electrician either, but I believe the pump & water heater should be on their own power supply coming from the main consumer unit in the house. The reason the sockets were sparking / blowing up is because you’re trying to draw too much power through one circuit.

Like others have said elsewhere the house needs a consumer unit if it’s not got one already. Different parts of the house will want to draw different amounts of power (the pump, fridge, oven, heaters and sockets/lights etc). This allows you to split off the different amp usage of different items, as well as letting you protect yourself with trip switches etc. Plugging items into one plug socket (even if it’s different plug holes on the same socket) isn’t safe as that circuit won’t be rated to cope with the power draw the items want.

What was that about? Adding oil to water for boiling? I’m confused! Mine … after the pasta is cooked by boiling, I drain the water and add a little of olive oil so they won’t stick together. I could be wrong, am not a cook.

Adding oil to the water or after cooking is same'o, same'o. However, you only add oil if you're going to do a pasta salad or store the pasta in the fridge for later use (so they won't stick together as you said). Adding oil to the pasta will cause the sauce not to stick. If you're going to add the pasta to the sauce immediately, the oil isn't needed.

A friend told me a long time ago to add oil to the boiling water to help prevent the sticking. Then I read just recently that real Italian cooks don't do that because the oil coating prevents the delicious pasta sauce from being absorbed into the pasta. But, you're right again that if sauce is going to be added immediately after, no oil is needed.

OK he should’ve ran a much thicker wire on the floor, you should’ve ran Romax underneath that floor BX OK that that piece of wire that he ran underneath the tile I hope it’s heavy duty and please I understand that you’re using that plug so you can plug in your cell phones OK but just be very careful OK because you don’t wanna mess with electricity in the Philippines your electricity is 277 bolts coming out of the panel box. I’ve been to Philippines twice and I looked it over and that’s very very high voltage. You can get yourself killed or knocked on your ass really good with that 277 V over here in America we have one 2020 V plugs which if you get a shot from one of them you just get a shot nothing else happens but don’t mess around with that electricity. Make sure Robbie has to do some dedicated circuit. You don’t wanna overload a circuit by plugging in a lot of different things now I don’t know where you got that power from for the overhead light for the center island. If he piggyback off another plug somewhere else is going on circuit, you may have problems with your electricity in your house. If you got too many things on one circuit you need to see if you got room in the panel box and try to run a dedicated circuit to the hot water heater in the bathroom and all has to be on its own circuit to add all the amperage if you got a 15th breaker running off that plugs if you’re overloading more than 15 A you’re gonna be popping your electricity you’ll be popping the breaker box all the time you don’t wanna overload a circuitcircuit is plugged in to one electrical line that’s overloading the circuit so you need to run dedicated circuit, dedicated plugs for only your water heater and your pump

​@@effaashley2238definitely. We had ours rewired a couple of years ago after so many years of the old wiring and I have seen how the connections were made and connected to the circuit breaker. I had to add more breakers just to be sure. I also enjoyed shopping for boxes of electrical wires. 😅

That 220v outlet is rated for 13 amps. Your water heater is pulling 22 amps. Also that island extension cord should have been a conduit stub up with 10ga romex. That 16ga extension cord isnt going to last long. First toaster that gets plugged in is going to fry it.

Others have explained the difference in volts & amps used in PI compared to USA and western countries. I agree, that Romex or sheathed wire coming out of the floor should have been protected in conduit. Extra length should have been allowed for proper attachment to the island. It looks like it will be set low on the island as it is now. It should be protected while it's laying there loose before someone trips on it or nicks the sheathing.
