Watching how you "train up a child" - it is heart-warming and inspirational. You did not just tell your kids about doing the right thing - you showed them and then went the extra mile. May the LORD continue to bless the work of your hands. Shalom.

Mike, my 1st husband lost his job when I was pregnant with our second child. We had 2 babies in diapers, with no job prospects at the time, he too mowed lawns. Just like you he put his lawnmower and tools in the trunk of car and knocked on peoples doors looking for lawn work. He kept us afloat for 3 months before he found another job, there is no shame in hard work.

It is so nice to see someone take responsibility for the actions of their animals and not make excuses. Love this channel for this very reason and because of the realness of your every day life, that things are not always perfect. This is so encouraging to me in my walk. Hey guys! I did the same thing with my chicken netting when I first got my chickens. I used a smaller holed, more flexible netting inside my premier1 netting and it worked. I just got the same netting last month that you got there, which I'm going to use to separate soon-to-come chicks inside the main run from the others. Glad you made amends with the neighbors. Before I had chickens, the neighbors 2 chickens kept coming into my yard and destroying my gardens. It was upsetting, specially since they did nothing to stop them. My landlady (on the other side or me) finally told them if they didn't quit, they'd end up in the pot. So the neighbors put them in a pen, and the very next day one of the chickens died. I felt bad, but was strange it died right after that.

Chickens are infamous for doing that to landscaping for sure. Surprised that you didn't feed the chickweed to your chickens. It's a great source of calcium and protein for them and it's free. My chickens gobble it down whenever I feed it to them.

Chicken problem? My sister has that problem that the free range chickens of her neighbor come over and unplant her strawberries every year. She has complained about it to them and they haven't done anything. They also have two big dogs they let free to roam around and she has to bring dog treats to be able to put her garbage in her garbage bin or the dogs will scare her. I'm glad you're fixing the problem. Wow, Cody is really big already! Great, get the chickens moved and working on compost with a better fence to keep them in. Great job Josiah and Mike! Thanks for this.

So glad to see y’all took responsibility for damage the chickens did to the neighbors flower beds and going beyond what was needed to fix it. Great to see you be a wonderful role model for your children. So many people think it is ok to let dogs loose to create mayhem, chase people & livestock kill chickens and etc, and refuse to take responsibility and fix or pay for damage loose dogs do and loose livestock do to neighbors property and crops.

Hey guys- great video. I use a large fishing net to catch my chooks. The ones you use to land big fish after catching. Or a pond net. The chooks respond to the aluminium pole so you don't need to chase them- they herd to where you need- and then you net them easy. Have fun J & R

I share eggs with my neighbors all the time, *blue, pale green, olive green, and huge white). I'm lucky, my neighbors like my chickens. I live in town.
