This episode was insane. The tragedy of the Todoroki family, the reveal that Toya had rei’s quirk was so messed up. Toya was already the son Endeavor always wanted, but because of his mistakes, he destroyed any chance this family had at being normal. Horikoshi is an amazing writer.

It's so insane. To realise that your own shortcomings as a father were what took everything you ever wanted away from you. Maybe Toya could have become like Shoto eventually when his ice quirk awakened and sucessfully became a top hero, if not THE top hero, but now all that's left of Toya is a burnt skeleton, all because of Endeavor. This alone would break most people

Shoto really lives up to being called the “hero of the family” here huh. 😅 And for as monstrous as Touya has become, I feel like it’s only fair for the family to be the ones to ultimately save him from getting himself killed completely. And it was just in the nick of time too, since Endeavor had already given up on him yet again. There’s a lot of complicated feelings happening here, and I honestly wasn’t expecting the whole family to end up on the battlefield, but hey, it’s finally time for Touya to get the attention he’s deserved all this time.

@@isaiahnova1912 True. But I can’t help but agree that it should have been named differently since it was Shoto’s last and biggest ‘Rising’ moment. Origins and Risings are one of the most essential part that forms mha. These chapters constructs, starts and finishes a major character arc. This ep’s main focus was on the end of Todoroki family arc and Shoto’s character arc, not All Might. I get why they named it this way, because this makes sense too, but I personally think it could have been better.
