You are one of the few people in the KZbin writing community who is actually a dude Most AuthorTubers are female of many races and ethnicities But still mostly female or female-bodied I don't know how writing and reading have become so female-dominated though In my local/regional NaNoWriMo group, most people are female In my high school creative writing club, most people are female Apparently, guys aren't into creative writing that much then again, it's the 21st century, and people have a lot of fun stuff to do -- video gaming, TV series, films, songs Girls are notoriously better than boys in verbal skills while they are pretty much equal on math skills and girls tend to read more books which lead to writing

There's a select few of us, especially in the more vlog-style space. But there are more guys in the marketing/self-publishing space (mark dawson, chris fox, etc.) I'd agree that on average there is a biological component making women more likely to be interested in reading/writing than men. Another part is that women tend to favor learning about people rather than things. So novels, where you get inside the mind of people, would inherently be more interesting. There are other creative tasks more focused on things like programming that men tend to prefer. And then of course there's cultural forces and individual upbringing.
