I went through this too when I first started staying at home with my baby. I struggled and put myself through a lot of turmoil until I shifted my thinking. While you aren’t bringing in money, you are definitely doing your part at home. Being a mom is a full time job. You are providing for your family because you are taking care of the home and your little family. I think that all stay at home moms go through this. Once your little one gets here, everything will fall into place. Praying for you friend!

You are doing exactly what you are supposed to be doing in this season of your life. God placed that little baby inside of you and He needs YOU to take care of him. Nobody else is equipped to do what you are going to be doing raising that little one. Being a stay at a home mom is a gift and a blessing to not only your child, but your husband as well. You don’t want anyone else raising him, God made you for this! 💛

As a stay at home mama I totally relate to you! I struggle a lot with feeling like I’m not contributing financially, but something that I’m coming to realize is that I’m contributing so much through creating a safe, peaceful home for my husband and baby! Homemaking is so important, and raising babies is so important too. You’re right where God wants you to be, so rest in that truth. 💗

I have been a stay at home mom for 6 years and I still feel the guilt a lot especially when times get hard and we’re having to go to the food pantry to get food, like right now. But I have to remember that I’m getting the food, I’m caring for our son, I’m homeschooling our son, cleaning the house, cooking the food, doing the laundry, I’m helping in ways that aren’t financial but very needed.

I worked for the first year after our son was born, but then with the cost of daycare and gas it just wasn't worth it. Now I have two kids I take care of and homeschool so I don't usually feel guilty for not making money (but still a little every now and then) because I have an obvious purpose in staying home. And maybe you'll feel different once your baby's born and you have him to take care of. It really does add an extra sense of purpose to your life.

As a stay at home mom i dont think ive felt guilty for buying groceries because food is something the whole family benefits from obviously lol but i have felt guilty for buying things for myself like clothes/skincare. My husband always reassures me like "hey as long as you arent out blowing money then its totally fine, buy what you need and every once in awhile something you want".. So just stick to a budget if you guys have one, prioritize the things you need over the things you want and be wise with your money and respectful also! And remember the husband is meant to work and provide and in marriage you become 1 flesh, whats his is yours and vice versa. Society has made women think that if theyre not making an income theyre not succeeding in life but thats far from true! Raising children and being a homemaker is such a rewarding and fulfilling ministry- and thats exactly what it is, a ministry! No greater work for the Kingdom a woman can be doing than staying home and raising up Godly children!

Thank you for the encouraging words! Your husband sounds a lot like Nick😂 he always encourages me to buy things I need but feel guilty about, he knows if I don’t get a push from him then I won’t end up doing it 😂

Just here to send a little encouragement. Being a mother is the most important job God could give you. There is purpose in the mundane. You are providing by staying at home with your child. You’re providing a loving, nurturing home. You are providing nutritious meals for your family. You are providing your family with clean clothes, a clean house, a home. You are providing by serving. There is purpose and value in motherhood. ♥️

All the roles you are filling in the home saves your family a lot of money. Housekeeping, personal shopper and cook, hair dresser, soon to be childcare, etc. all together it’s really several full time jobs. You’ll fall into a natural rhythm with whatever is best for you and your family 🧡 sending prayers!

I can relate to the stay at home mom struggle, at times I have felt like I should go back to work so that we have more money etc but I have realized that this season is for family and there will be time to work again. God will give you peace for the decision you make together with your husband, and sometimes people won't get it and you'll also have doubts but remember His approval and guidance is everything :)

We are alwaysss here for a good grocery haul :) I know so many who love them (myself included haha). Also, with the dates, try filling them up with salty peanut butter and chocolate chips! So so good. I did this in my third trimester and it was the best bedtime snack!

I think once you have the baby this perspective will change a lot. I never understood how much running a home and raising children was a full time job. Honestly you will end up “working” a lot more than him the majority of the time and you’ll both contribute to the family in unique ways that are both absolutely necessary💛

I had to work when my babies were little, now that they’re grown I really regret it. It sounds clichè but they grow up so fast and change so much in such a short amount of time that I wish we would have made more sacrifices so I could be home with them full time. Teaching your children and showing them love and giving them your time is a full time job and it’s so so important. You only get one chance to do it right and make it count. You don’t want to live with regrets like I do. God will provide for your family as He already has!!

Mix 3 dates in a blender with a handful of ice, 1 cup almond milk, sprinkle of cinnamon, 1tbsp of maple syrup and 1 scoop of collagen powder for a sweet treat.

Being a mother is the hardest and greatest job. I understand how it can be hard now that the baby is not here. My best friend is also expecting and she opened up a few weeks ago how she was struggling too. But her husband and God have given her peace about the season she’s in currently. I pray the Lord gives you peace about your husband being a provider right now. I personally think homemaking is one of the greatest jobs to have. At least in Gods eyes I’m sure. Hang in there bud! God understands. And I’m trying to understand. God bless you sis! Also want to add, maybe you can volunteer in your local community? Or church. Maybe babysitting. Pray about it 😁

I love the egg chair in your office! What a perfect space for it! While I can't relate to the struggle of staying home and not providing financially (at least not yet), know that the Lord will use you for His glory no matter where you are at. I am confident He will guide you to where you need to be, whether that is staying at home and raising your children in Him or working and being a light in the workforce as well as at home. From your videos it is clear that you are a diligent, hardworking individual and that is valuable no matter where or how you are contributing. I'll be praying for you!!! ❤️ Not fully related, but I've been battling discontentment at my current job and am trying to discern if the Lord wants me to move on or if the discontent is my own flesh. I have a desire to do something else that would allow me to be more flexible if and when I have children but not sure what the Lord's plan is. I'm trusting Him and trying to be content where He has placed me!

I know exactly what you’re talking about! And I’ve felt those same conflicting things in previous jobs and it’s so hard to distinguish what the Lord is trying to tell you or teach you in that moment! Thanks for the encouragement, and I will be praying for your situation as well 💛

When your full time job is to be a wife and a mother, you contribute by running your household. Try directing your efforts towards being frugal and saving money. You each are performing different roles but both are equally important. Also want to add that even after 20 years, I still feel guilty for buying what I perceive to be expensive groceries.
