It’s been a roller coaster few weeks. But that’s life, full of ups and downs.

🏔 There’s nothing like the mountains to reset the mind and luckily there’s plenty of those here in Portugal. 🥰

Your channel is a breath of fresh air. You show us Portugal in a way that few channels do. You share your friends, your adventures, your hikes, and even the wonderful animals you house sit with us. I have found other channels thru you that I follow. And you are real! And I enjoy the fact that you are you. As much as I enjoy watching homesteading videos, I tire of the constant building, etc. The lady tossing oranges to people towards the end of the hike was lovely. persistence pays off. Keep vlogging. We need as many single women over 50 or 60 even that are vlogging since there are so few out there!!! If you search youtube it's so difficult to find them!! I can type in retired female expats or solo female expats or some other variety and it usually comes up with a dozen MENS channels or COUPLES, which is not what I want to see. I hope to start traveling in a couple of years and really want to see it through a woman's eyes, that is single, and older like me.

Girl it's a challenge what you are doing. Not only as a single person but just being in a country with a different country, language and culture. Kudos to you for sharing. I arrived into Central Portugal to buy a property which ended up getting sold out from under me after my father just passed the week before I left. I was really tired so I kept my flight to Naples and in Calabria right now. Even here it's so off grid. I am traveling alone. The trail to the litle chapel, is called Rota do Miscaro. Miscaro is the most delicious mushroom I ever tasted. It only grows under pine trees and sandy soils. I dont see them since maybe, 30 years. Forest fires being the main cause for its disappearing.
