Fear is a compass. It means you're heading in the right direction. Instead of running from it, run towards it in excitement.

I came to this realization literally when I turned 29 on Xmas Eve. And have been fighting it for the past couple of weeks. I literally said this to myself. I will become someone my younger version looks up to. Thank you for the validation. 🙏

I think when people say I’m stuck I don’t know what to do? They mean they want to do something and be someone but they don’t know were to start or have to figure the goal it self. Meaning they have this deep unsatisfaction with were they are now but they don’t know why they feel that way or how to change it.While I loved your advice that didn’t answer the question, just told you have to overcome fear. But fear is not confusion or hopeless that people actually feel when stuck.
@williamwallace410 Жыл бұрын
Well, actually most people do know what they should do, but deep down, without really knowing it consciously, they are afraid of failure, afraid of change, afraid of taking risk… if you are not afraid, but have no clue how to start, then just start trying, start researching it, look for people who are already successful in what you want to do and study them…

Your content and mindset is unique, brilliant, and actionable. THANK YOU for sharing it. I am a KZbin junkie for personal development, but your and your husband's material is completely different from other channels, and I appreciate so much that you two do not look for confidence in the collective psychology.

This channel is so underrated! I implemented some of the advice from Leila's past videos and now I just sit there and observe emotions and stress coming up, but don't react to it, instead continue working on the task I was initially doing. Cortisol my old friend:))

Leila, thank you! Specifically for sharing about your panic attack. I’ve been struggling since the lockdowns; mostly because I’ve been subconsciously afraid of being somebody that tried really hard then had it (my business in this case) “all taken away from me”. Which isn’t strictly logical, and such an outlier. I’ll work through it.

What you described sounds a bit like agoraphobia: The fear of having a panic attack. Interesting story, Leila. I like that you're up front with people about some of your own experiences. It keeps things in realistic perspective that regardless of stature, societal position, financial position, we're ultimately still human.

Another helpful fast technique is to learn to be aware of your thoughts. When a negative thought enters your head, if you're paying attention, you'll see it coming. You then have a choice. You can choose to identify with the negative thought and amplify it, or you can choose absolute 0 reaction, which will negate the thought. The difficulty is a) paying attention takes effort to learn and b) negative thoughts that you've been amplifying for months or years will take many more negation cycles to eliminate. They key idea is that you are not your thoughts and you control the volume of all thoughts through the mechanism of how you react to them. If your mind is messy, you'll have a lot of cleanup to do. And you can save yourself a lot of work in the future by always looking out for new negative thoughts. Your first reaction is the easiest point to 0 them. Zero reaction is the same thing as acceptance, if you don't like the word acceptance. I think acceptance is a bad word to use, because it implies to non-meditators that you're agreeing with negative thoughts. What meditators really mean by acceptance is "accept the fact the thought popped in your head but give it no reaction". Your reaction (any value judgement) is what keeps any thought alive. Your brain is not always your friend. It is a tool. You can build a house with a hammer or you can use it to smash your balls.

I love your content and even though certain editing features intitially can draw in attention(constant zooming in and out) bright color screens, fast typing, childlike pictures etc. Its way overdrive. KZbinrs are competing for attention but if the content has quality it doesn't need that much BOOM! Just my observation, I do find your actual content valuable.
