Lupin really has a depressing life. 1. Gets bit by werewolf because said werewolf didn't like something his dad said in the newspaper 2. Abandoned by family for being a werewolf 3. Friend betrays another one of his friends and leads to him and his wife being murdered 4. Same friend also kills another one of his friends 5. Lives in poverty as a lepper because he's a werewolf 6. Finds out the friend who was imprisoned has been falsely imprisoned for 12 years and the other friend is actually the traitor 7. Friend gets killed before he can be exonerated. And that's just the first 5 books lol.

Not to mention being stuck in a house he hated so much, with the old houself muttering insults and the screeching portrait of his "dear" mama.

Mrs. Figg is a squib, born to magical parents, but having little to now magical powers herself. She had made herself available to babysit Harry ever since he was sent to the Dursley home. Harry had no idea until now that she was a squib.

1. It was not Cho, who revealed Dumbledore Army. It was her friend Marietta. This led to breakdown of Harry's & Cho relationship. 2. Voldemort came to know about the prophecy, when it was given. He marked Harry as his equal, that's why he hunted Potters and murdered them. 3. Sirius, Bellatrix, Nymphdora Tonks, & Draco are relatives. Tonks & Draco are niece & nephew of Bellatrix & Sirius. However Bellatrix hated Tonks because her father was muggleborn.

Hi Uzzy, There's an important detail that I'd like to draw your attention to. The prophecy is a self-fulfilling one. In and of itself it's utterly meaningless. The only reason why it matters is because someone overheard the first part of it and told Voldemort about it. And Voldemort believed it and acted upon it with the result that he killed Harry's parents and tried to kill Harry too, thus "marking him as his equal". Think about it: if Voldemort had ignored the prophecy none of this would have happened, Harry would be just another ordinary wizard boy with no scar on his forehead and no furious desire for revenge. As Dumbledore - book version - said it: "Voldemort himself created his worst enemy just like tyrants everywhere do (...)he created the man most likely to finish him and gave him the tools for the job". And the explanation that's missing from the movie: Voldemort, who was only told about the first half of the prophecy tried to get it, because he wanted to hear the second half, probably believing that it contains details he should know if he wants to kill Harry. The odd thing is, that the prophecy could have referred to two boys. Both born at the end of July, both with parents in the Order of the Phoenix, both sets of parents escaped Voldemort narrowly thrice. The other boy is Neville Longbottom. And note this: Voldemort decided that it must be Harry, a half-blood like himself, and not the pure-blood Neville, in spite of his racist ideology. In a way he saw himself in Harry even before the latter was born.

I've seen a lot of reactors cry at this one, I wouldn't have been surprised. I almost count this one as a half-comedy because Umbridge is just so ridiculous, but then it hits you at the end. There will be more shocks coming, we may get the tear ducts flowing yet before this series is through, haha.

Study Sirius' family tree more carefully: Draco's on there! His mother was a Black, sister of Bellatrix. There is another sister; Tonks' mother Andromeda. So Draco and Tonks are cousins. Tonks is a metamorphagus: she can turn herself into anything.

i have some complaints about the film adaption compared to the book but i can't deny the actors did a great job with the material, the ones playing Fudge and Umbridge, they maybe unbearable characters but the actors do a great job making us hate them, Sirius's death was certainly a heartbreak, if you thought the films were dark before, that was nothing to this and future films
