Almost exacly my histroy with a small deviation. iPhone 4s, 5s, 6s and now 7s... ...but I had also a Blackberry Storm, HTC HD and a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. I somehow always felt comfortable with apple but now... I would like to try the S9/S9+ But I will wait for the S10 and hope the price from the S9 makes a good drop ;)

Veridian they will not put the notch because they dont have the technology to fill in the notch up there. Samsung being realistic. Unlike other Androids phones who follow Apple trends for the sake of copying Apple and Essential phone. Get the S9+. Screen is amazing. Small bezels. Fingerprint scanner is very convenient. The battery seems to last forever and i dont use power saving mode. Plus the extra RAM lets apps load very fast. Get it. Or wait for the S10, its only 6 months away.

Bought an iphonex - first iphone I've had. Wanted to customize it - sorry you're not allowed to do that. But I just spent a ridiculous amount of money on the damn thing surely I should be allowed to personalise the heck out of it. It was my fault for falling for the Apple marketing crap and not doing my home work before buying it. Anyway then there's the dreaded iTunes - what a laughable nightmare. Such restrictive arrogance on Apple's part. Sold phone within a week - bought the S9+ completely blows the iphonex away. Apart from s9+ being a better phone - the Android OS is vastly superior and more flexible - allows complete customization and personalization. One thing I couldn't stomach on the iPhone was all those ugly icons stacked on top of each other. So much clutter. Very unattractive. Apple overpriced, pretentious, underwhelming and highly restrictive. Won't make that mistake again!

hey I watched some of your S9 vids when researching phones, I ended up getting the S9+ and I actually found out that the S9 is even more powerful than it's hyped up to be. like you hyped it up pretty far, but it lived up to the expectations and then some. I had been an avid iPhone user (please forgive me) since I was a freshmen in high school and I wish I made the switch sooner. the dongle is what sticks out to me most and the versatility it introduces (plugging in my wireless mouse/keyboard, instantly transferring files to and from a flash drive, the smart switch function, the list goes on). I also enjoyed being able to have a fully functional TI-89 on it as I am an electrical engineer who tutors calculus students quite often. Thank you for showing da wae bro!

Have the sim card trays gotten any better? My HTC one m8 always had sim card errors and I tried replacing it as well other tricks and it never worked again. Just wondering before I buy this phone. I like the phones with the sim card installed behind the removable battery better, no errors.

I think all of these flagship phones are awesome. I don't even see why you have to stick to one brand with your life. When i was starting and going through high school people we're using Nokia, Moto Razr, and eventually sidekicks. Nobody every formed a cult over it or anything. Excellent video! I went from a Nexus 6P to a V30. Well... I went through 5 V30's to get one with a screen that was mostly uniform. That 6th V30 was decent for a couple of months until it literally died. The audio of the V30 was the real selling point along with the wide angle camera for me. However, I picked up an S9 Plus with the intention of giving it to my mother after the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s came out. Well... That isn't happening now. The screen is so awesome on the S9 Plus, it made me wonder how I ever put up with that horrible screen on the V30, which also is the same OLED panel used on the Pixel 2 XL. It's literally like going from having shit blurry vision to seeing clear for the first time in your life! Damn! Samsung makes an amazing screen for a smartphone! The last Samsung device I owned before the S9 Plus was a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. :P

I came from a LGV10. Overheated for no reason. Had it since 2015. Just purchased the S9+ over a week ago. I wanted to stay with my V10, I liked the wider screen and how the bacl was rugged and durable, but I had to send it in once last year due to LG's famous bootloop issue. Then, recently it statyed overheating and fast battery drain, even with a brand new battery. I couldn't go out without carrying a portable charger. I don't want to do that all the time. A concert was coming up (was on Mom's Day) and the V10 wouldn't of taken photos and vids like I needed, so I rushed to get the S9+. Booy, I was snapping and recording half of the concert. I started out, since about 12noon that day with 100% battery. At the end of the concert I had arounf 42%. I say that's just fantastic. And no over heating issues. I like LG's phone, but they have toooo many issues! Idk y they aren't fixing them. I would like to test and try out the Pixel phones and all these newer phones.

I completely agree! LG can make a phone people want. It's just once we get it in our hands, we realize how poorly quality control was. It's sad! The V30 is a great device in so many ways but it is LG's screen and quality control issues that continue to ruin their devices. It's also a shame that they added another reason to stay away from the G7 by slapping a notch on after getting rid of their garbage OLED's. Bootloops are still an issue with some V30's as well. )=

Jon W. Seriously. They really can make phones that people want. I thought the V30 was a beast, a beast with the same issues. So, I am very doubtful that the V40 thinq or the G7 thinq qill be without. I plan on staying away from LG for a while. Their G3 gave me those fade out screen issues too. My Mom's V10 just came back from being fixed. She wants out. My sister has been doing well with her G5, so far.

Who is talking about the fade to blue shift? That doesn't bother me at all. The fact that the display illumination is not even across the panel is the issue! Dark and bright spots in the display ruin it!

Love that I found this channel and from the fellow in Toronto. Can someone help? I bought this S9+ as per this recommendation and during the phone calls on the speaker phone only bottom speaker works. I went to the Samsung repair shop and they said this is normal. It is very odd and a very odd feeling. It was not like that on my Google Nexus which I had previously and since I am mostly using the phone for phone conversations and most of them are on the speakerphone, if this is the way it is, I am afraid it is a deal-breaker. Any thoughts?
