By far one of the most underrated games of the 2010's The mood and ambience is terrific. AI was one of the (if not THE) best at the time. Gameplay was totally perfect to get you feel the absolute TERROR of being preyd by the Alien. A true gem!

Underratted? To some maybe, but to quality game enjoyers which see through the game design it's a different story. It was nominated for tens of awards and recevied only one of awards from esteemed juries and it was the most streamed game of its time(needs resource). What baffles me is that it came out in 2014 and making a video of it in late 2022 is quite late imho. But you do what you like who am I to stop you from doing what you do.

Got recognized, but not - Can't talk about streaming numbers since there no tracking for 2014/2015 - Sold 2.1mln copies and still SEGA said it was "weak" So yeah, to me is underrated. Anyway, you're entitled to you own opinion, but at least watch the video, since Cam explained WHY she's playing it now 👋 PS fun fact: IGN scored it 5.9/10 ... lmao 🤣

I’m honestly glad there isn’t a sequel. Too many excellent games are tarnished by sequels that usually end up being shoddy cash grabs that come out underdeveloped to ride the coattails of a previous title that was a sleeper hit. That being said, if the dev team did another finely crafted game that was an homage to a different franchise I would be ALL IN.

The spooky sound effect at 52:02 is emphasizing that someone or something has toppled over the table that was previously standing just fine. Btw, you didn't have to apologize for being scared when playing :) This game is legitimately scary, and I suppose half the reason people watch horror game playthroughs is to see people being scared, or being scared with them. Anyway, cool that you embarked on this horrible journey!

Love to see a new playthrough of my favorite game! It's tough, but I think it can feel pretty rewarding too. Especially if you aren't really a horror person or had a really challenging time getting through it. You can definitely start to feel like you are in a movie! One of the things I love about this game is that the player can have a full player's arc. You begin in the unknown, you're stressed, scared, then you realize that while you might still be scared you have to face the monster. Much like Ellen Ripley has to. Can't wait to watch the rest!

The style of this game was inspired in the 1979 film direted by Ridley Scott. This movie shows who was Ellen Ripley and her first encounter with the Xenomorph and although the film has a lot of suspense it also shows one of the most horrific scenes made during the last century; The 1986 film directed by James Cameron is the best Action-Horror film ever made by humans, a movie only for the bravest. Once you honor your eyes with such great films this game gets even better!! Thank you, Perfect choice for this month.

hi! You're the fifth girl I've watched a walkthrough of Alien Isolation with. I can't get bored! I'm a fan of sci-fi and especially Aliens, for me this is the best game ever made. You're smart and quick-witted, there will be no problem here. But you're also shy, so I'm sure I'll have fun. :D The picture quality is very good and you have a fast machine - the best so far! So the PS5 isn't so bad ;) I've never seen such beautiful graphics of this game even on PC.

I had to stop playing on my first play through as the sheer tension was making me feel physically unwell. I had to deliberately die a few times to work it out, then I could play without being so het up. Great game.

EVERYBODY I have watched ask themselves what Ripley is gasping at when first arriving at Sevastapol. She is naturally gasping at the whole station rocking under its pending collapse. Could also be at the devastation that meets the eye in general. And, I've only watched ONE person noticing the cat meowing in that section. Very nice detail if you pay attention.

Computer assist in understanding what is going on and objectives. Also interact with everything. Like overhead compartments. Items can be found in crafting. Be aware of your surroundings in case something finds you.

@@Cambonano I cannot suggest strongly enough that you watch Alien. It is a fantastic (though scary) film. The sound design, art direction, and music are all very prominent in the game. You will feel right at home in Sevastopol... for better or worse :)

I have been waiting for thus. HINT. DO NOT RUN It is a stealth game. If you run make too much noise people and the alien will find you. Stealth is key. Hide if you must.

Honestly I LOVE Alien Isolation. I have done 3 playthroughs with the last one being on nightmare difficulty. There really is nothing like Alien Isolation and once you get to mission 5 in the medical lab when the Alien is fully released this is one of the most incredible gaming experiences ever.

This is a good, if difficult game, but much more enjoyable if you actually saw the movies, as there is a lot of references to the movies(Like the message in the very beginning, that is how the 1st movie ends), this game is set between the 1st and 2nd movies(Amanda is dead by the 2nd movie, which is 50 something years after alien, Ripley was in cryo)

Well the Mighty Jingles can't get more than 15 minutes in this game. And I don't see myself playing it again. It's a shame they never made the 2nd one. Heard rumors it was supposed to based around Nuet. In that Alien 3 never happened.

It’s a great game, some of the best suspense and environmental tension in any game! If you’re feeling like you were tense, after you play you should check out a bit of the SovietWomble playthrough, it will make you feel like you were super brave/calm, haha.

@@Cambonano The first movie could be considered a prequel to this game. Throughout the game you will find numerous references to the ship Nostromo and to Ripley and the other crew. Seeing Alien will help to put a lot of this game into context.
