I love your narration. It's so hard to find someone who knows how to tell a good tale. Well done.

Oh yeah "it's getting closer" "it knows we're here" definitely about my ex-wife, I've made those same statements more than once.

You might like The White Vault. It’s a series, so has a much slower pace, but can make polar bears want to leave the arctic.

@davidponseigo8811 there is an accurate, but hilarious KZbin Short where an 18+ year old guy walks into the kitchen, where his Dad is preparing food. The son says "Dad, what is it like being married?". The Dad doesn't even look at him & says "not now I'm busy." The Son says "ok" & starts to walk away when his Dad says "don't walk away from me! How dare you ignore me like that! Now apologize!" The son is standing there very confused & yells back "you told me you were busy! Apologize for what, I didn't do anything!". The Dad now looks up at him & says "now you know what it's like being married.

what ever agency this guy worked for, did just about everything to ensure the protagonist was disgruntled to say the least. Good story! definitely had those Carpenter’s The Thing vibes. One note, as we are never introduced to the other researchers, their fates do not hit as heavy. I would liked to have experienced the one by one loss of personal and the rising of tension. other then that, good job!
