I walked out from a Catholic Church when the priest spoke against a type of people.. When I was a teenager… I’m nearing 50 & there are more than 10 church’s in this small South Tx town, none of them grow food or help the elderly with their yards…& homes… I do not go to church.. I have a backyard garden I’m working on to one day feed my neighborhood and I help whom I can with their yards. Thank you Jesus ❤

South texas as in the valley ? If you arent trying to be fed the word of God and be around other brothers/sisters then i would say you arent walking the way you should be. We arent meant to walk the narrow path alone like a lone ranger and avoid everyone. In hebrews it says not to forsake the gathering of each other (believers) as some have.That is wrong. I would recommend you come to logos community church . We do help out the homeless . We are in downtown harlingen area. Very smart and biblical elders here.

I actually liked church when I was a kid. My mother expected us to go. It wasn't an option. That is where I started my personal relationship with God and Jesus. I am glad my mother got me involved in going to church.

What’s marketed as church is just a building with someone preaching their own personal convictions and saying that said personal convictions are mandated scripturally. Additionally, in those churches a good chunk of the people who go are just trauma bonding and projecting their life regrets and frustration onto others. No thanks. I’m all about relationship with Jesus first and that can be done ANYWHERE. Im also for real church which is just believers fellowshipping is all. What we currently see is man made traditionalism and legalisms. Again, no thanks. I nor anyone else are mandated to attend such places. We can go on our own free will.

Bringing small kids to church is not correct..parents should guide the spiritual side first then when they grow up they can decide to follow a religious course. I never force my kids to believe what I believe...kids are intelligent since they born and can choose his preference in culture, religion or sexual orientation. Is a matter of respect to them. We as parents believers of God we just can watch and guide them the right path they should follow in life. That's best way to teach spirituality to our beloved kids.❤

I was just like that kid. Because I been forced brutal to go to Pentecost church, And disciplinary. After 1999 passed. And I must say our boundries wasnt private during our maturity times. My father that is a christian forces us to go to church, And we have a reason why we dont go. My father isnt muslim and he acts like we are living the time of Jerusalem. When he isnt muslim. He born in hispanic country. He does believe in God and worship Jesus. But he is very demanding and stubborn. When we speak up about we the one that need to go by our decision: My father is like. *Nope I dont care how old u are. You can be 20 30 40 or even an old man. When you are living in my house is what I say* Now I had stop going to church with my father becuase of that, And you cannot go to church under your parents demand, They suppose to advice u or take u right away if u sin. Like going to the bar. And I barely go to the bar. I am always doing favors for my families. That is all. And those church days come. He starts making that mood I want u to get dress up to go to church with me, When I said I am not going he continues, And make me nervous. He yes helping me. So i don't go to hell. But He get in my boundries doesnt give me space even when I am in the age of 17-26. Crazy right? But I still love God and I do not give up on him, No matter what my dad does. Because this world is full of hatreds nation. And pls if anyone esle is living this share it here, too
