Yes all the "Starman" callbacks -- the preview scene where she's learning to smile is a direct reshoot of Jeff Bridges contorting his mouth into a smile for his resurrected character. He was so good he earned a Best Actor Oscar nomination for John Carpenter's 1984 "Starman" (Two years after "E.T." the first of the "alien visits while tugging your heart strings" genre).
