I just found your channel and love your intraspective videos. Lots going on there in your discussions, and I love it! I've been riding since the age of 8 (61 now) including motocross into my 40s and some road racing in the late 80s. A few years ago, when we were in West Virginia, I took up supermoto riding on the super-twisty roads - it was awesome! (I have a few lame KZbin videos if you go look.) But back in Michigan, the roads are straight and mostly flat, so now I've taken to woods riding with harescrambles, enduro and I'll try some Michigan Sprint Enduros this summer. Like your first AMA MX race, I failed miserably in my first harescrambles last fall. I couldn't finish and had to pull into the pits before completing my 2nd lap (9 mile loops). Humiliations galore I said to myself inside my helmet. I've done a few more, but it's embarassing when I feel I'm a healthy, strong guy and cannot finish. Same as you, my goal is just to ride as best as I can, learn better form and technique and finish. Thanks for your uplifting and motivational videos. Looking forward to catching up and watching more - thanks! :-)

I dnf'd my first two motos, won my third & lapped the feild in my fourth. Then aged out of the super mini class and couldn't afford a big bike. I raced some in rando classes on my rm 85 but that was my whole racing career. My family let me ride and race but even as a kid I had to buy my own bikes and gear. Basically i was pretty good but just straight up got priced out. Now I'm old and have to convince myself to send jumps I would've hit without hesitation on my mini. 😂

yeah unfortunately it's just getting more and more expensive. My yz250f got stolen so I'm gonna be doing most of these races this year on my 125. under powered but we're gonna let the two stroke sing haha

Might see you at the GNCC race at Power Line, I'm thinking of racing that as well! I'm trying to do more harescrambles this year in series like Mountain State HS and New East Coast Cross Country. Might even try an AWRCS race since I have only ever watched their races. After my back surgery in June, I still feel like I won't win any races, but just riding is so fun and I love seeing new tracks. Hope you have a fun season man! Safe braaps🤙

I really wish I started racing when I was young... My first race I was.... thinking.... 34. It was an 8 hour rally race. Turns out being older and more controlled is really good for rally I didn't get a single penalty and came in second. I don't rally race anymore because 2 strokes use so much gas I end up running out between stages. I love racing though... I don't care if I win every race. If I find myself winning every round I just go up a class. I love that feeling of just banging bars and being on the course with people your level. Edit* I've actually done a lot of 6 hour ironman harescramble races... It is my favorite racing. It is wild how after about 4 hours you just get into a zone and start putting in laps that you completely forget. By the end you are just fried for days. It is amazing. I know its not for everyone but It is my kind of racing. My only tips for you is don't listen when guys tell you to start slow. Riding slow is hard, it also sets the pace for the rest of the day. A lot of people will tell you to start slow... over and over you will here it. I just can't disagree more. Hit the first lap hard the second hard... have fun and shred. Your gunna crash either way. But riding slow the bike is going to be flopping around and your going to be balancing more... fast everything flows and your are just able to set the mental tone higher for when you hit the tired wall.

once again might sound a bit biast but if you have a buddy with a crf150r i highly recommend you try it out as it has a bit more power than the 250f but it has the best and most reliable throttle response of something i have ever rode keep up the work and im looking forward to the future :)

I know this isn't related, but I got my quad back together. It has pretty good power now. It needs washed, then I'll retorque the head. I ran it yesterday and was told to retorque it after awhile.

@notsoupmoto Thanks, I would've done it today; but I had to help my dad tear the rear end out of his semi. As he blew it out the other day. Tomorrow, hopefully, I can wash it and torque the head.

Very relateable! What onboard camera would you recomend for an affordable yet watchable way to record a harescramble? Keep up the great content!
@notsoupmoto8 күн бұрын
Glad you liked it! The most affordable way is to get a normal action camera like a GoPro, dji or insta360 and run it on a chin mount for the best perspective. Here’s the chin mount I really like because it’s easily removable and you can use it on pretty much any helmet. www.amazon.com/Dango-Design-Gripper-Mount-GoPro/dp/B01BBAW028?crid=1VTU3P3S7ZSEU&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.yLtmvp2NNFcnBorUvkusIfpQbNQNUaT13hojrDwdteEJY6DPUNNVgnIS3NjaEAGldsO4nImlXa4XnL0GMEEWl_BaAdkTBq8yDLv0STBhJcDw8Ic6ekeDsQfqz-uli29ykirJsaoiaSS_d_l_pQg4eetAXybKjZXh3QwSBKs_ihhZIu5TT7Nr-JVkXE6p6aCNe94kjhQV3VoQLU3SzPg0ipJa7yZbEJ-38Gb-0LUW8qY.goDOrf4wBTfUYkNxpuGrVKv3KEdBmrGw5KmVKqSj6bg&dib_tag=se&keywords=dagger%2Bdesigns%2Bchin%2Bmount&qid=1733278902&sprefix=dagger%2Bdesings%2Bchin%2Bmount%2Caps%2C107&sr=8-2&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=soupmoto-20&linkId=eaca73cc65dc112e5f9ffbb195d02c0a&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl But there are other ways to mount to the chin.
