A lot of my family lives in Dunn, it’s a nice little place with little historic things and lots of mom and pop shops. The Dunn area history museum is really interesting, I enjoyed it. I was talking to my grandmother about all The closed and abandoned stores, she said the Walmart in Erwin drove a lot of stores out of business. And yes, scherrys bakery is the sweetest smelling corner in town lol. It’s a really nice little town, would recommend a visit to anyone!

What is the crime like? I am thinking about moving to a small town or a farm. My town in Texas is no longer affordable and it is crowded. We have acres we are selling. The average folks are having to move. It was a nice growing up, but that is gone now. Visited NC last year and it reminded me of what my hometown used to be.

According to cityrating.com Dunn crime statistics report an overall downward trend in crime based on data from 7 years with violent crime decreasing and property crime decreasing. Based on this trend, the crime rate in Dunn for 2023 is expected to be lower than in 2019. Hope you find the new hometown your looking for. The towns around our larger cities are seeing home prices rise. So be mindful of that during your search. But there are plenty rural towns to choose from.
