Hello Tim, When I was a teenager we would go to Rainbow Gap Road to park and party. I've driven a 64' Ford Falcon through the entry gate at 70MPH. I can attest that the Lord looks after fools.

If money were no object and I had to live somewhere near Asheville (which I'm not really a fan of), this would be one of my favorite, if not my favorite town. Peaceful, beautiful, and elegant without being flashy, yuppie, or hipstery.

Yes. I thought we might all need to rest our legs a bit because we got a lot of walking to do this week. Although, there will be one more ride coming up In Biltmore Forest, NC

Biltmore Forest is absolutely beautiful! So is The Ramble Biltmore Forest (a gated community) and Biltmore Village. They are all right next to each other in South Asheville adjacent to the Biltmore Estate and close by the French Broad River.

Montreat Conference Center is a big deal for Presbyterians (PCUSA specifically). I attended for a week every summer through middle and high school and it was always a great experience. It is typically a few degrees cooler in the summer thanks to the shade. IIRC the college went through some major, controversial changes a few years ago after almost shutting down a few times and is no longer associated with PCUSA
