Thank YOU for watching my videos and for helping my little channel get a little bit bigger last year! Not sure if I'll be able to make another 100 videos this year, but I won't be going anywhere!

A lot of KZbinrs I've watched over the many years say is that content creating is always a grind. You may get burned out from it if you're one who has a strict schedule to release brand new original content to your viewers. That is really why I never really got into it. It would be neat to make a couple of extra bucks on the side from this but its a ton of work. So keep up with all the great work that you do! I lived in this province all of my life and even I learned quite a few cool things about this island from your videos this past year! Cheers to a safe and healthy 2025, Mark! Maybe I'll bump into ya one day and say hi haha

You are a storyteller at heart, I think. Storytellers need time to tell the story, and the best stories take time to transport the listener, or reader, into that time/place. I love the stories you tell and the way you tell them, even the short ones.

Always glad to see a notification for one of your videos, Mark. Obviously, I love Newfoundland, too, and I I share your enthusiasm for a good feed of fish and chips! I'm not nearly as well traveled as you are and I'm delighted to learn about our points, bays, coves and harbours from your point of view. There's ALWAYS more to learn! Happy New Year to you and your lovely family. I wish you all good health (especially to your mom!), happy adventures, and safe travels throughout 2025. Cheers!

Mark I really appreciate the work you put in to making these videos about Newfoundland. I especially find it interesting when you take a bit of a deeper dive to understand this place. What was it and what is it becoming now. Before moving here I scoured the internet to learn as much as I could about this place. Much of what I learned was the fantasy version of NL. Yes I very much love the tourism videos put out by the province but they don’t capture what NL is now. I’m not sure if they even captured what it used to be haha! Some of your content would have really helped me to understand this place a bit more. At the time, Openline provided a shot of reality in my quest to understand what is true about the people and culture in this particular time and context. Many locals seem embarrassed when you tell them Openline was a part of your research. Reality isn’t always what you want others to see. Keep doing what you are doing my friend. It’s really enjoyable and helpful.

Hi Mark, I think your amazing! I really love your videos❤❤❤ My daughter and I live in Ontario and have been to Newfoundland twice and we are coming this July again. Your passion for Newfoundland is beautiful and I too share this with you and tell everyone I know about how gorgeous Newfoundland is. I loved your top 10 and we will see one of them along with our own agenda. Your a great speaker, and considering I am an ESL Teacher I actually tell my students to listen to you because you speak so well. And it is a great way to listen to english while learning about Canada. Keep talking Mark and ignore the haters because we 💖you and think your passion for our beautiful country is wonderful! Happy New Year🎆🥳🎉

If you are teaching ESL you might want to remind yourself of the difference between "you're" (as in I think you're amazing) and "your" (as in I loved your top 10....). It's a common mistake but not one that an English teacher should make.

You covered Gaultois so we're good lol. Yeah the size of Newfoundland is really miscalculated by people wanting to travel around it. I was in Ontario couple years ago and got talking to a person who was planning on driving to Newfoundland because they found out I was from Newfoundland because like you I'm proud of where I'm at and people soon find out that. Anyway this person was driving to Newfoundland wanted to go to Gros Morne Park , wanted to take in Lanse Aux Medows , see Gander, Twillingate, Bonavista and St. John's. In one week. I actually took off distances for them .....they had no idea the little Rock in the ocean was so large to travel. All great lessons my friend all great videos looking forward to your coverage to more communities have a great week

one min video idea: "Top 3 _____ I visited in (year)". That way, you can always make new ones every year. They can include parks, trails, restaurants, museums, historic sites, abandoned buildings and ghost towns, light houses, etc. May 2025 be a great year for you, my brother. ~ Bruce

SUGGESTION Let AI create short form videos of your past long videos. Link the shorts to the longs. It's a way to get seen by more people. AI in 2025 has surprised me on the quality of its videos. KZbin shorts can now be 3 minutes long.
@mark_royle_newfoundlandКүн бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion! I still can't share 3 minute shorts but I'm not sure I will when it is available to me anyway. We'll see.
