How do you express friendliness then? I'm confused. If you're friendly Newfoundlanders will take that friendliness and return it in kind.

Thank you. When I visited I noticed the big menu on the wall it still said Kozy Kitchen but I wasn’t familiar with that name. Was it basically the same type of place?

Another lovely video again, Mark. I miss Newfoundland so much. I have been a lot of places but none have ever left me longing to go back; except for Newfoundland. I have never felt so at home as I did when I lived there. Thank you.

Is Coker’s’ home still open to the public? I never hear anyone mention it. I did a lot of exploring in Port Union in the late 90s and his home and his story as shown in his home is very interesting. It was electrically lit at the time and even that is interesting as to the type of electricity they did have. You have to pay to get in, unfortunately but it is worth seeing and I think you should go and see it sometime when you’re there.

Yes it is still open seasonally, for tours at least. I visited Port Union this past September but I got there just a few days after they closed up for the season. I will be putting a video together about Coaker and Port Union very soon. I hope you watch!

Nfld is full of hidden gems, off the beaten path. Im from Corner Brook, glad we were a favorite place. I wouldnt be able to narrow it down. So much diversity & offerings to explore.

I have no idea what his point is. I am a Newfoundlander and I feel this guy is trying to make us look ignorant or something like that.

Port aux basque is a crap hole with nothing to offer anyone. If you go ,lock your doors. The local crackheads and coke heads well rob ya blind. I lived there for 15 years. It's a sink hole where most have no standards. And watch your partners, they cheat around like crazy there.

@mark_royle_newfoundland3 күн бұрын
It's still possible to find a spot that you could move right into and be comfortable in the St. John's metro region for around $200k. This isn't super common, but they're out there.

We have so many beautiful communities in our province. I would like to see every nook and cranny. Have you been to the northern peninsula yet? Lots of beautiful spots up there too. If you go make sure to go to the Croque, Conche, Roddickton area.
