The true GOAT of dwarven computing is this stuff by BaronW dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/User:BaronW Some stats: Dwarven Casualties: 1 from drowining, 1 from getting crushed by a bridge, 10 from me not paying enough attention to notice the path through my minecart grinder was left open. It took 4 in-game years to complete the project.

It isnt a dwarven fortress if you dont kill someone with a minecart. It isnt Dwarf Fortress if you dont make a dwarven leather rug with a bridge

No I've given my bookmakers the tools to do their job faster, allowing them more time to listen to listen to poetry in the temple! I also created dozens of new mechanic jobs to build all the mechanisms. Dwarves have nothing to fear from automation!

I was just thinking about what it would take to make a calculator in DF. I was thinking Water for a signal/memory cells and floodgates/pressure plates for gates/signals. Didn't take long for me to start hurting my brain with just the scale and complexity of trying to handle it that way. Anywho this is impressive and surprisingly compact, also thanks for the link to the space invaders machine might try it out one day.... If I can manage to survive for longer than a couple years that is.

Dwarven computer that can play dwarf fortress in asci entirely re-made in dwarf assembly. Its theoretically possible in a big enough map.
