That jacket is fantastic, I'm going to start looking for vintage/vintage style patterns and it's all your fault. Have a great day.

Wow - really amazing. A TON of work - and you have a skill level that I hope to achieve some day. But I guess that's what delving into certain projects are for. I find sewing so challenging but also rewarding (when it "works"). Plus, it forces my brain to work in a different way so hoping that keeps my brain "young!" ;D. I can't wait to jump into my Star Wars Imperial officer pattern/ project (for eventual cosplay at maybe NY ComicCon (next year). I had to source two different patterns and have no idea if I can tackle the technical skills needed - but willing to try! But seeing your vintage inspired pattern - wondering if I should have gone that route. Thanks for great content and inspiration!

It was a ton of work, but I enjoyed it. I have a pile of failed sewing attempts but I just keep going.

I'll be starting to sew a Turkish ww2 uniform soon any tips on making good princess seams?

That sounds cool! I just pin the heck out of the seams, then machine baste them - over the pins - using the longest stitch length I can. That holds it steady when I do the final stitch and I sort of hand manipulating the curvature into the seam as I feed it.

You're so right, adding your own colors is one of the best parts of making your own clothes.
