Today, we will force our Adversaries to make some TOUGH DECISIONS, with deck that incorporates them into our gameplan! With Intrude on The Mind and Hostile Negotiations, those decisions will just decide the game, while High Noon makes up for some extremely satisfying games!

Hey man, sticking to your channel because you make genuinely amazing videos and very unique content! Absolutely love your channel! Btw, just out of curiosity, how do you have all the cards? How did you build up such a collection, was it because you were active player for such long time or is there a way to quickly build up rare/mythic wildcards, maybe you spent money on the game or something else?

Probably spent a little money and grinded daily wins and quests. I don’t think that there is any way to get wildcards extra fast tbh

@@2mmalt I been trying to figure a way out to get more cards but it seems opening mythic packs to get specific mythic is then only way, and rares you just gotta get lucky cuz the pool of rares per set is huge. Plus the madtery really lets you unlock almost every card from the new set

Hey Bro :) Glad you are enjoying it! Sorry for late answer, but it probably won't be one you really hoped for :) I was playing from early beta, even before there were parallax styles (remember introduction), so I generally had a loooong time to grind cards :) However, in reality, I just spend $$ as everyone on first day of the set, as it's expected that I have all relevant cards on day 1. I played for years before making a channel, and I think I burnt all saved wildcards in few first months of daily videos - I realized I only have control+esper rares/mythics, and other colours super drained my wildcards stash. So in the end, I just had to buy more packs. I'm not really knowledgeable, but from what I heard, drafting is a good deal, if you are strong player, and one trick I learnt is to open all golden packs after new set hits first - as you have no new rares, you will statistically get most of those in your random packs of missing rares/mythics. That's how I usually open packs, first golden, then boosters. Remember to use free codes too, there are many sites that have all of them in 1 place :) That's kinda it - I usually don't see replies to my replies very well, so if anything feel free to ask about stuff on any new videos directly, trying to answer as many as I can! Gl man, and be careful of crafting anything that rotates out (don't do it)

The number of people play Bo3 is a tiny fraction of Bo1. I get that it’s not “real” magic but Sloth needs to eat too ya know.

I tried once bo3 on the channel, and it seemed to not be super enjoyed - but to be fair I think it was close to new set or smth, might consider trying it again - hard to say. Generally bo1 seems to be most expected, and in the end - majority decides what we showcase :) Tried alchemy once too, with lotr, but it did NOT go well :D PS. I confirm I have to eat ❤🦥

I know you mostly play bo1, but would you ever consider a video doing some bo3? I would love to see your thought process for sideboarding during your matches with most of these off meta control decks

The other play is always conceding. Boros and mono red get exhausted if they think for more than 5 turns.

I normally don't like removal/draw piles but it's nice to have at least some interaction in a meta as stale as this. I hope we see Intrude on the Mind more after rotation, still not as fun as Robbery tho

It sure seems like there are going to be a lot more go-wide token aggro decks after the new set releases. Do you think this will pressure control to run more sweepers and less targeted removal? You crushed the boros convoke deck today but drawing 3 path of peril is a bit of a high roll.

The consistent and very active sloth never fails to provide good content, thank you for the video. Does anyone in comments know answer to this: If opponent convokes Knight for 3 and plays it, does the game then count it as a 2 mana spell for path of peril?? I think i recall having experienced this once when I played mono white humans, but I am not at all sure??

Convoke doesn't alter the Knight's MV. Maybe they paid the cleave cost?

No. The way Convoke works today (it was slightly different back when it first appeared in Ravnica) is that the Knight is still a 5-mana spell, but Convoke allows you to tap a creature rather than pay for 1 of the mana in the cost. This means it is a 5-mana spell in all zones, including the stack. Back in the day it did reduce the cost of the spell as it was being cast, but even then once something enters the battlefield, it's mana cost is as printed on the card, regardless of how and in what way you originally paid for it.

That won't ever happen - todays RDW is a completely different animal to decks from just a year ago, so it's obvious that fast Aggro in traditionally aggressive colours is fully supported by design. It won't be going anywhere, no matter how many skill-based cards are introduced. Also, there are some extremely talented Aggro players out there who are capable of making nuanced decisions. You see Sloth playing them himself, because he comments on their ability to play around Control. I think a lot of players just want to get to Mythic quickly, or get their 15 daily wins, or do their daily Missions ASAP, and RDW is the deck of choice there, because it requires no great skill, is super-fast in either winning or losing, and most games are decided on a coin flip. Some of the missions encourage it too. "Attack with 30 creatures" is one of the worst offenders, because you don't need to care about winning or losing as long as you can swing with everything, every turn, for 3 games. The same with "Play 20 / 30 Red and [whatever] Spells" - empty your hand and move onto the next game. Aggro players get a bad press, but there are reasons why they can sometimes seem like mindless maniacs. Arena actually encourages that style of play if you want to get things done fast.

@@undahraadaundahraada5594 thats all true, but not good news for those who like to actaully play magic with the nuanced decisions and such. because the rdw (and by rdw i am obviously mean 'any aggro') decks' coin flip games are just coin flips for the rest of us too. i understand the financial decision behind this, but i wholeheartedly disagree as i think it actually makes magic a worse game. its not a game if its decided from the start. may be some (even a lot) of people who considers coin flip a 'game' - i don't. .

I'm doing stuff every turn - just not during mine 🤷‍♂️😂😈 To be honest, I never really got this control doing nothing stereotype - in the end control needs to predict plays that opponent is doing, make many decisions, and counter every play as well as possible. Compared to no decisions as mono red, I can't see this as doing nothing, it also requires you to know what decks you opponents play - key cards etc. :) I know it wasn't serious roast, but wanted to share some thoughts using this as an excuse!:D Have a great day man, or, as we say in control: island-pass 😂❤🦥

I concede as soon as I see a swiftspear or Kumamo Just tired of mono red. The games are just no fun and so boring/stupid. Did mono red go first? Then game over Did mono red get the nuts? Then game over If not then you win easily. A players talent has zero impact on the result of a game involving mono red
