I agree 100%! I used to donate lots of things there. I figured it was going to help people. Wrong! They keep the good stuff for their website to sell for more money. They throw away a lot of donations as well. I try to donate to my local homeless shelter or to the local food pantry. I just dropped off 50 handmade hats this morning along with some toys. I detest corporate greed!

I live right beside a Goodwill that moved into a building that use to be a high end store. I have bee in there one time. It smelled so bad and everything was total garbage. It makes me sad that I have donated a lot of good items and brand name clothes which obviously never made it to floor or to the ppl who could use them. I’m totally sure things are picked over before hand. I made one loop, holding my breath and left. So sad but lesson learned. I now donate everything to a local church where I am sure ppl in need actually receive my items. This is just my experience but it really was a bad one.😕

They really should be ashamed that they put all that random useless crap in there!! I stopped shopping at Goodwill years ago. I now instead shop at thrift stores that give back to the community. Where I live, our domestic violence shelter runs a store that the money goes back to the women and kids that need their help. There’s also a couple that give back through donations to charities that are local. Also, it took me til the middle of the video to realize your earrings are tennis balls 🎾 lol. Cute!

As a reseller I've had some luck with their auctions. It really depends on what you are buying and where it comes from. I've bought bundles of Vera Bradley purses and resold them for a big profit. They do have many different Goodwill's on the auctions but you have to check each listing to see which Goodwill it is, and they also will show you shipping and handling. Some Goodwills way overcharge for shipping and others are more reasonable. Overall, it can be good but you have to really check out the listings closely to see what they are charging. Sorry these turned out to be a dud.

The thin orange blocky thing with the slits on each side is an ammo clip for a nerf gun. They usually sell them for $2-$3 at Goodwill. Mr. Blockman is Steve who is the main character in Minecraft, which is still a really popular game right now. The block guy and the block animals are from Minecraft, I can imagine you getting a bit for those if they were all sold together! And also that cabbage patch kid and the Barbie bike are really collectible, some old school Barbie accessories go for such high prices as they no longer produce them & there’s such big communities that love to collect toys like that from the early 2000s/90s so I recommend researching into those for prices as you could definitely get enough for those to give you the money back for what you paid for one box! Also, I think if you get any more McDonald’s toys in the plastic bags in the future you should definitely keep those in the bags if you were to then sell them as they are also incredibly collectible, go for some good money & are more valuable in the original packaging! And that Pokémon camera omg, I love it!! Sorry these boxes weren’t that great for you! They deffo seemed like a bunch of random broken crap that you gather up when cleaning out your kids bedrooms lol 😂 but those items mentioned above make it kinda worth it in my opinion!! x

I used to buy from them about a decade ago. Got some really good deals on game systems, cell phones, musical instruments, and other electronics, but they weren't well known back then, so stuff was cheap. Shipping was always kinda high, so you had to figure that in. Check the brand on some of those die cast cars, they could be collectable, and worth a little more than you would think.

Things like this is why I have several big bags of cleanly washed clothes sitting under a dresser. I haven't had the strength to drag them to a clothing pantry on bus. It's 2 trips even with my cart. But I think I'm just going to place them on the table in my laundry room with a free to good home sign so folks know those clothes actually are for taking. I was actually the one to start the leaving things out for others. Just last night I put some basic food that my neighbor had left for me from the food bank out. At least this way things either go to someone local who needs it or it's probably not worth taking. Plus I've heard the maintenance guy will donate any leftovers. At least then it'll be out of my hair too.

I have a friend that actually does get good deals from Goodwill, but purchased them in store. There was a video a while back that accused them of keeping the good stuff for themselves and not putting them on the floor. Others have said they would lose their jobs if they did that. Take away from that what you will.

I still enjoyed watching this video because this is the types of toys you find at Goodwill. Sometimes they are great, Some are missing pieces and some are completely broken with the kids names still written on them in sharpie. You can still find good ones if you look hard enough :). I would probably not buy a goodwill box not knowing what I am getting though cause depending on the person you are looking for specific things. A mystery box most likely will give you broken toys or games missing pieces and old clothing that does not fit you.

Shipping varies from auction to auction. However, they have a section that have 1 cent shipping. Those are the ones I look at. They do have a small (like $2) handling fee added, but that's it.

I would definitely look into selling the Pokémon camera separately. A quick search on eBay implies that it’s retro and you can makes some money from it. You would have to buy film and make sure it works but if it does, you could potentially make your money back. You might also be better selling the Minecraft figures in a local buy and sell group, as a lot. All in all, it could have been worse but throwing in random crap and broken item is a bit low of them 🤦🏼‍♀️. Buying the boxes would definitely be worth it, if you lived locally. Both boxes would make back 4.99.

Hi 👋🏼 Melissa & Paco 💞 In the uk , on the auction sites they have changed the shipping to ridicules pricing too so you look at a box full priced at say £5. Then when you total the new shipping costs in now it’s up too £40 😮 or more depending what they class as a small or large box and that’s each box when before it used to be you could have a delivery of a few boxes for 1 shipping cost now the cost is each box you get is individually priced for shipping Crazy , ends up being too much ££ so hubby don’t bother anymore unless it’s collect in person it’s only just recently changed too. 😬 , hope you have a wonderful day sweetie 💞

My Salvation Army Thrift store...takes toys like the smaller things . Bags them together and sells them for a dollar. When my son was little, he would get one once a month. Picking the bag he liked best. Also we have a second hand book store. They have boxes of children's books, 10 cents to a quarter each. We went there often.😊 Because 10 books for a dollar was my child's dream come true. We got some really sweet books. Did you know some Goodwill stores are shutting down. Saw it in the news.

We have a St. Vincent DePaul, thrift store that will give boxes of random items away free. We got quite a few. Most of them were knick knacks or glassware, all kinds of stuff. I suggest selling the actions figures for at least $1 at the flea market. I sell them for $5 each at Comicons and they sell like hotcakes. Same for the cars. In fact I look for large sets of action figures to buy in bulk for that very reason. ps... check your shipping costs as shipping has just got stupid high. No one unless you are Amazon or Poshmark who get huge discounts can afford to ship cheap items. Even China subsidizes shipping costs for their citizens. They pay for the majority of the costs where in the US the average Joe is screwed over by USPS. I also suggest contacting the Goodwill that you bought these lots for a send them pictures of the broken and random items that go to nothing. Request a partial refund at least. I have done that before. Make sure to send them pics. That is not unreasonable at all.
