I’ve been super busy making over the apartment. And I’ve been on and off with improving the garage, the last thing I built was the workstation and it’s made being in here so much more enjoyable. But it didn’t hit me until the other day that when I work on projects, I literally just sit on the top of my staircase waiting for things to dry...So we're going to build a little mudroom right in my garage!

I was about to state that. It looks great yet unfinished without crown molding. It would be cute to have a diy battery-operated wall sconce for reading. ??? Did you put any of the supplies on those shelving units in your mudroom? Where do you do your paint cleanup?? Have you thought of investing in a solar powered generator?

It looks great! If you added a plank right across the top, it would help join the cupboards together to create a single unit. That would then provide more space for storage, plus you could add some puck lights or a lighting strip underneath 😊

You could place a surge protection outlet extension cord on one of the shelving units you are using as a room divider. They come in a big variety of cord lengths and the number of outlets on them. Some even have USB ports. Then, you would have more outlets available that are closer to your work area.

I’ve been wanting to say for some time now that you are just so good at your job! I love how you narrate and say things that are so informative and you add more “color” to the story of your diys. I took an illustration class in college and my professor told us that when you’re illustrating a book, you don’t draw what’s being said with words, you add more to the story with your imagination and give more “color” to the story; that’s what comes to mind whenever you do some voiceovers and explain things. We know you’re building a bench and mudroom, but you tell us how it’s going to improve your life, how you picked the fabric, etc. Idk if you’ll ever see this but I hope what I’m saying makes sense!

I think I'm the only one thats not a fan of the tile rug w the floral wallpaper and pattern in the cushion. I love a hood mix and match but those three don't flow well. Kudos for an awesome build tho. The color of the unit and contrast of the cushion are spot on. It has to so satisfying brainstorming, coming up with a solution, and seeing it through. Your creativity knows no bounds. I always look forward to your next project.

I would want to take an artist paint brush and some of that teal paint and go in a little bit on the insides of the greenery in the backsplash to tie the color in a little bit more. It already matches the cushion fine but the green is a little too olive next to the teal. Just a few low lights and outlines on the inner leafs.

Hey Tina awesome job as usual. To create an area above the rest area using the wallpaper you can use foam board. U can apply the wallpaper to that and attach it with Velcro. Good luck. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Happy Redecorating!

They make a solution that takes the glossy off of finishes. It's called liquid sandpaper, you can pick it up at box stores.
