If you’ve got spare room in your isa I’d definitely fill it. The dividend allowance is currently £500 but that could change in the future.

I agree with you, however to keep things distinct from my main portfolio, I will stick with a GIA until the ISA changes are sorted in April 2024. Tax loss harvesting may also prove very useful though.

@OzbourneForeman It means that you may have some stocks in all portfolios that you may already have on another funds. I recommend it not to have repeated stocks. This is why.

@@Gioxtream, thanks for clearing it up. My main portfolio is public on the channel and only holds individual stocks. Ashtead Group is a stock I hold in that portfolio at a much greater size. Aside from holding the S&P 500 in my pensions, there's no overlap between my portfolio and this new dividend portfolio.

I didn't think it could get any worse for your channel.... absolutely dire content. This stinks of desperation, clinging to the growing popularity (which is completely misplaced) of "Dividend stocks" and some ridiculous challenge that means nothing but you wanting to churn and pander to "trends". Oh, and don't forget to add in a misunderstanding of Dividends and their role in returns - good luck beating the S&P.
