Oh, Ben... Such a jeweler's grade job... I got a headache just watching it. Oh. No. I'm just hungover. I love Flick. He is trying to look so manacing. I could tell this was your first time dismantling a lighter of this kind. Having taken thousands of lighters apart, a couple of times I was telling the screen, "NO!..there's a ..wait..THAT part is a.. NO! AH! He found the...There it is." LOL Nice result BTW. VERY 50's sci-fi look to him. Thumbs Up. I bet there are a ton of lighter parts that would look great on your cars for cables, exhaustrs, lasers etc. They are a great source of all kinds of amazing little tiny bits of tin, brass, plastic and rubber.

This is awsome my son actually found you by mistake and i heard the video he was watching first was the apocalyptic scratch built bus video so we watched all ypur videos together with the fiance he loves modeling videos now and he is 6. I now save all my lighters that die and soda cans plastics from packaging that are unique in shape or flat for making parts and broken toys from the kids and ect and i built a super cool robot model toy for my son that is about a foot tall. He is 6 and said dad I didn't know you could make new toys using broken toys and garbage he said this is fun let me go get more toys to take apart i saud no don't go brealing tpys just to use to build another robot bud. It's called recycling. Im not a huge recycling person or save the earth freak but I am glad you inspired me to show my son that with some imagination brokem toys and trash you can make anything you want. He went online and siscovered ninja turtles looking for what he wanted his robot to look like so he wanted a ninja turtle tramsformers and alien looking thing for his robot and it turned out super cool and i used nuts and bolts and brass tubing to make the arms and legs and torso and head move so he can use it as a action figure toy. I painted it to look old rusty and weathered I didn't use tamiya powders cuse its toxic if kids get it in their mouth so I used pastels and sand paper to make safe powders and sprayed flat clear coat to seal it all in. It like a junk post apocalyptic alien robot that had to use what ever he could find to make repairs to his body parts through out years as they broke.

Thanks Charles! The baking soda adds a huge amount of surface area for the glue to coat which helps it to cure instantly. At least that's my understanding.
