its amazing how you give a great, rotating view of the finished product from all angles and actually let your audience see what you made. the vast majority of these craft style channels will go into extreme detail about the process but then show the finished product for like 8 seconds, all zoomed in and bad angles. maybe get about a half second that shows the entire project, from 1 angle. iuts a very strange trend and im happy to find a channel that doesnt follow that trend

Once again; never ceases to amaze and impress. Quick question? Have you always been inclined to make things from everyday objects? So growing up we never had much so I always went into the garage and dug through my dads junk boxes and made my own creations! I think kids need to get away from the iPad and phones and go build forts and bike ramps out of cinder blocks and old plywood! I think giving a kid some nails a hammer and an old wooden pallet and say have fun is missing today... But i'm probably just turning into an old man!
@markwyn2040 Жыл бұрын
@@DRToysCreations I can relate to your story very much. I look at my own children with all they have and you’ve sparked my curiosity to see what it is they can do with some odds and ends. Having an imagination as a child, likely helps us to overcome obstacles later in our journeys. I’m scared to think what we wouldn’t create if we hadn’t been in those situations. Thank you for the reply.

@@DRToysCreations I agree totally Dave. I think children that are on the electronics all the time are really missing out. Of course, living in Santa Barbara that was the best!

Dude this is so cool! I just found your channel and I absolutely love watching you build these 'junk art' pieces. My dad loved doing art and he inspired my passion for creativity. This brought back memories of doing that with him and inspires me to make some more junk art! :)

@gutsman85_86 Жыл бұрын
@@DRToysCreations I've been binging your videos since I commented. Lol! I noticed the parts you use and get inspired by really lend themselves to robots and more mechanical figures. I bet a Mechagodzilla would be a lot easier to build than an organic style figure. I apologize for the added suggestion since I know about the warehouse of ideas personally, but if you ever get to him, even a MechaGodzilla with mostly robot pieces and just a little bit of organic Godzilla still on top might look cool. Even if you never get to it, either way, I'm here for it! Thank you for the awesome content! (The videos on leds was really helpful! Hi, I am not sure how I came across your channel, but I am delighted I did. I have been thinking, no dreaming of this kind of making and tinkering...but was not sure how to get started. Do you just pick up/ buy broken, toys, models etc you think are cool for something? Like from yard sales, or flea markets and discount bins? I have loads of bits from my fpv drone, RC car and mini balsa plane building hobbies...(wires, metal tubes, plastic pieces loads....but missing things like the you also seem to just pop up in a videos like feet or guns or something similar. I know you usually find 1 part and work from that. Any help on how to gather things what to look out for etc would be great. Thanks!
@DRToysCreations Жыл бұрын
Great question! So my KZbin channel actually came out of having collected so many toys over the years and not knowing what to do with them. I love to yard sales and go thrifting to the point where I can’t help from buying a cool toy when I see it, I have tubs and tubs full of action figures and toys!😂 My builds are rarely planned out but instead I see a toy and pretty much instantly know what I want it to be, it weird because I will have looked at the toy for months even years with no inspiration then all of the sudden it hits me… 😂 Not sure if that’s normal or not 😂 If you’re in the states the Final Faction action figures from the Dollar Tree are a great place to start and practice on or old .25 cents action figures from a yardsale are even better!

Okay, second video of yours I watched, lol you are using some old school modeling tricks, shoe polish washes in another video, poor man's modeling putty with baking soda, I'll give you one, want clear plastic to look like glass and not fog up when modeling or strong glue is used? Get yourself a bottle of Pledge Floor Shine it's an ultra clear ultra shiny chemical used to be called future. Even if it's yellowing it will dry clear, sometimes people will throw it away or free at garage sales because it's yellowing but to a modeler it's liquid gold! You can even run it straight through an airbrush and it's a great ultra shiny clear coat to protect models, like I said it may yellow in liquid form but once dry it dries clear. It's super durable too, lol was made for floors lol. Anyway, I'm sold and you have another subscriber! I always give a thumbs up to the channels I belong too, and that really helps to grow your channel, let's do this!!!
