Watching the fabric identification round was hilarious. You could see the wheels turning as they considered what it would be like to work with the material and what it felt like. Well done ladies! PS The "I'm not shopping" line was stated with determination, but you just know that if she did buy the pattern and make it it would be fabulous ( so maybe the better answer would have been "Not now!"

I think there should have been a prize… say one vintage pattern from your stash or yardage … Or, so no hard feelings, call it an honorarium and both contestants can choose pattern or yardage! I love this! Bernadette Banner and the Closet Historian! I think the categories should be something like... If you were the high priestess on Arakas which fabric wouldn't you wear? Corset or not, looking at everyday clothing and deciding if it uses a corset, Where are the darts in this 50s dress. Give them a cloth and needles and ask them to make a button hole by hand. LOL Hope you do more of these!
