My parents have both "disowned" their respective families so we spend the holidays alone, plus they both work all night so I spend Christmas and new years by myself, learned to appreciate it tho and we're doing better. Try using some heavy cans to brace the walls from the inside until the melt-and-pour sets. Remove the cans before putting the roof pieces on. It works great. I do this when making chocolate houses.

Hey Katie, a simple way to make sure there are no bubbles in things lile the window frames is to take something little like a pipette or a chopstick/toothpick and fill those spots and spread the soap around a bit before you pour the rest of the soap in. It gives you all of the control rather than the soap being in charge and hoping for the best. Either way, the final outcome is absolutely adorable.

Hi Katie! For leveling it might be worth investing in an offset Spatula. I use one to clean off the top and scrape it even when making chocolate and it's a big time saver.

You said 'as it cures' and I was all... Oh. Yeah. This is soap. Had completely forgotten that!! Looks so much like real icing and gingerbread. I don't think I've ever actually tried making a gingerbread house, though this reminds me of the stuff I used to do in art class (I made a lot of diy bookcases out of re-assembled/glued/painted boxes). my sister got a candle making kit for Christmas and I did it with her. it wasn't one youve tested but I channeled my Royalty Soaps! We got no wick stickers and I explained why we needed them, and nothing to keep the wicks in place so we made due, but I felt like I was you testing and reviewing the kit! Was so fun for our first time ever making a candle kit and definitely easy enough to so again (there was extra wax!!). Thanks for inspiring us!

Katie, I have a video request! Could you do a rundown of your favourite fragrance oils, for example your favourite chocolate, favourite fruit punch, etc. or even by scent categories? It would save a lot of time and trial (and lots of error) for more inexperienced soap makers. :) I know you have a TON of experience with all the different suppliers. (You could even do your favourites from each supplier!).
