hi lime lady i just wanted to let you know in case ur not aware that you can turn off those reaction animations (like the balloons at 7:18) by clicking the green camera icon in the menu bar and turning off reactions. isnt it cool how apple turn that on by default? and they have it show up in everything that uses the camera not just facetime calls? i work with deaf people who use sign language over zoom a lot and one day these animations got turned on by default and all of a sudden they couldnt talk to each other without their screen getting covered in balloons! that was super cool. ive even read posts on the apple forums from doctors who were telling their patients they had cancer and they had balloons pop up on the screen! i'm really glad that apple enabled such an unprofessional feature on by default to be on ANY APP THAT USES THE CAMERA INCLUDING VIDEO CONFERENCING APPS!!!!!!!! merry christmas!

The other thing that All I Want for Christmas does a ton is called modal mixture. It’s primarily in G but it borrows from G minor a ton giving it a ton of dramatic tensions and releases. This kind of writing was way more common in the 50s and 60s before singer/songwriters simplified pop music in the 70s, which makes All I Want for Christmas even more impressive given it came out in 1994.
