Love watching these. My 6yr old is allergic to Milk and egg so I love watching to get new ideas for him. Sometimes we get in such a rut from being stressed out with how much we have to change for him. He gets upset he can't have the same things as his siblings or friends so I try hard to make everyone similar things. Thank you for sharing Jen.

Loved the video! I’m doing a lot more meatless this year due to food insecurities and because meat got really expensive for a bit there. I was already not using much dairy because I’m lactose intolerant. Yesterday, on a craving and to reward my successful food budgeting, I bought some carnitas tacos and it was a huge surprise. I could barely eat two! I felt super full right away. It’s amazing what happens when you eat more plant-based and less dairy-based creamy foods. I love sweet simple vegan and also budget bytes, too. I’ve developed a palette for lentils because of just one budget byte meal. I learned from them that the key is to make these veggies, grains, and legumes taste good with oils, salts, lemon, spice/peppers, etc. I didn’t see too much of that with your meals, because they were more about replicating conventional meals. But as you continue explore, I hope you’ll try more of a variety of legumes, veggies, and new bold flavors to make what could be bland meals more flavorful. I’ve noticed that some of your recipes are basically only a couple of ingredients away from being veggie or vegan, so hopefully that’s something that works out for you and your family. I’m finding plant-based is generally cheaper and then when I do go eat more chicken (or red meat like your hubby wanted), the treat is even more special - just gotta lay off the super greasy stuff now, apparently. 😅
@jeanette71564 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for doing this video. It seems I've become lactose intolerant and I began to buy all these ingredients that you used on the video but have not done anything with them. You have encouraged me and for that I am grateful. 👍🤗

I'm not vegan since I still eat cheese and even sometimes some fish but I have not had other meat in ten years and have been transitioning more and more to planetary diet. I loved this video, since you just really showed that you don't have to be vegeterian or vegan to casually enjoy vegan or vegeterian dishes. I always say that every meal you eat without meat is good. I like to suggest having lunch without meat especially if you eat your lunch out, like in a a cafe where someone else makes your food. Then you don't have to know how to make it or buy the ingredients. Anyways, I loved the video, so encouraging and easy. Lots of love from Finland!

This was great. One of my fave vegan dishes is a vegan version of pf chang's lettuce wraps. You use extra firm tofu and press it to get as much water out, then grate it. Then brown it in a skillet with shredded carrots, ginger, garlic, onions, etc, just like you are making normal lettuce wraps, then add your sauce and cook a little longer. When you mix the sauce, you can use coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. I prefer it to chicken lettuce wraps.

I LOVE this video! make more please... i stopped eating meat on May 8th and I love how I feel. It's helped alot with any belly issues and bathroom issues. LOL...This video made my day. I can say I am a vegetarian, but not a vegan yet. Most of my food is plant based. I make cauliflower wings allllll the time. I use them in "chinese" meals, as well. they heat up in the airfryer really well! I have used a teriyaki sauce, bbq sauce, etc. I sure hope you try it for two weeks in October.... I would love new ideas! Maybe document your days in a video and recipes?

I’m vegetarian and my favorite way to make cauliflower wings is use bags of frozen cauliflower that I steam lightly then rinse with cold water. I season my batter with smoked paprika, onion, garlic powder, a bit of cayenne, flour, water and then I dip them in panko and bake till crispy and dip them in the Buffalo and bake for a little bit longer! You can also air fry them like you said!

Love seeing new vegan recipes! A tip for the cheese sauces is to add some white miso it makes it more cheddar-y tasting 🧀 I agree with the high speed blender being key. I just have a ninja pro and it’s really affordable and works great for any recipes that call for a high-speed blender.
