I'm thinking that a synthesis would be the best strategy. Use Dad's strategy for the second one, but Professor's for the rest.

Do you mind sharing the code? How did you come up with a work around for the words with multiple possible words like the pound, wound, found, etc..

My guess would be checking if multiple scores are equal and if so find the word with the most amount of letters that are inconsistent between the possible words that were scored.
