KATIE 👋👋👋👋 I just wanted to make a suggestion on the BUCKET! 🪣 There are SILICONE RIMS you can attach that creates an EASY NO SPILL SPOUT/RIM! I personally think the original batch you did with the runny soap gave off more amethyst vibes and the later batch you cut into gives off more clay jewelry vibes. Which would be a fun soap idea haha but the first one just looked more natural

If you use pvc pipes that are a little longer so it sits over the box instead of on top, that might help them be closer to the soap top. (Think a lid on a shoebox) you might need another wire row on the sides to help support against the actual slab frame though.

If you want the strings of the frame closer to the soap, cut open the plastic pipes at the bottom to fit over the sides of the mold, and slide it down

I think that may work pretty well! I think another option would be to make the frame of the PVC wide and tall enough where she could slide the frame around the slab mold box for a snug fit as well. Many solutions for the same problem. Nice thinking :)

I literally burst into tears when you said sometimes people need to hear to do something for themselves. I’m a College prof and have been so overwhelmed the last few months with so much work. I’ve told myself when marking ends in 2 weeks I’ll be able to do something for myself again - but tonight is going to be the night!!

I have 3 classes of hundreds of students with no help. I mark 12 hours a day. It’s gotten ridiculous, but the end is near! April 20th - I’m looking forward to you!!!! ❤️❤️❤️. Trying to physically recover while finding out I have a boat load of underlying conditions that hinder said recovery. I bought this kit weeks ago, its my first ever cp soap. I've been wanting to do this for years and it's time.

I started CP 3 years ago - I only wanted to try it out, but a few friends found their eczema healed with the soap I made - so a dermatologist has been ordering tons for his patients. He literally has had patients with severe eczema able to stop oral steroids / creams after using the soap for 10 days. I have a pharmacology degree so credit it for the choices of ingredients I use. The problem is being a college prof + making enough soap to fill the need. My son is 19 - so he’s been recruited the last 2 summers to make soap - it’s his summer employment - and he’s made enough both years to completely pay university tuition. I love making soap just for the joy of the craft - but knowing it helps people too is a great bonus!! You’ll have to tell us how your batch goes!!!

The grey when you don't use enough purple pigment I imagine is because the soap base is yellowish - purple cancels yellow, so if you don't use enough it just neutralizes it. (I do hair for a living XD )

I love that you admit when things don't work exactly as you has planned, bur are still workable, like when the soap was a little thinner than you would have liked, you addressed it and made a note to change it for next time. That's such a healthy attitude to have and to share, even to grown adults. It's like saying "Hey, I'm not perfect, but I'm learning every day."

I love lapis lazuli, it's such an intense blue, and the pops of white/gray and gold make it even more vibrant! Sodalite is pretty too, so it being a substitute decoration gem is totally fine.

Hey I wanted to thank you. I recently ordered one of the shampoo bars for my daughter. She has sensory issues and finally told us that she doesnt like the feel of regular shampoo. It has been a battle with her to wash her hair for months. We got the wild honey shampoo bar for her in march and we havent had a problem with washing her hair since. It's not triggering her sensory issues at all and I love that she enjoys her shower nights again. Will definitely be ordering again

Speaking of "doing something fun for yourself", when you recommended going through an old rock collection, it reminded me when I was a kid and I would sneak the water spray bottle off of the ironing station to spray my rock collection, because it would make my room smell like rain. I told that story to my husband several years ago, and for our next anniversary (it might have been my birthday?) he gave me a pretty bowl of rocks and a tiny little spray bottle to go with it. I thought you would love that story, especially given the petrichor collection you did a while back. Thank you for all you do. It might not seem like much sometimes, but it means a lot to a lot of people, including me.

Wow that second attempt at that soap turned out SO SO much better than the first. The first modeled way way too much. The second looked so so beautiful!

So far the Lavender Martini is my favorite sent. I really love the scent. My soap is really pretty too. Purple Amethyst is my favorite

i really like darker stuff so im glad you enjoy making darker stone soaps, i think this one was super pretty
