My absolute top channel on KZbin. I love your videos and watch certain ones (nano terrariums) multiple times for direction. The best part is the time jumps in the same video. We get to fast forward 100 days without waiting three months. Much appreciated. I built a biorb air 30 this weekend and want to add a mini orchid to the wood at some point. Thanks for the constant inspiration! - Manchester, UK

You nailed the hardscape on this one. Good choice switching to the lava rock.

I’ve been basing a project off your vampire crab terrarium, but the methods used in this video would actually work a lot better. Thanks for opening my eyes to new methods.

I loved the part when the substrate was added, feels so satisfying to pad it down. I tried a new substrate mix recipe with 1 part of sand, I used it as potting soil. What do you think about sand? In my opinion, it surely prevents compacting even more and gives more drainage. The only downside to it is that it's a little messy, wet sand sticks to everything and drains out a little bit when I water my plants. I guess, larger grain is better, or use gravel instead

What would recommend to someone who is just starting and is on a very tight budget? Also even though they aren’t poisonous in captivity do they require a special license to keep?

I once had poison dart frogs but couldn't keep them after the fruit flies they ate started escaping and some developed the ability to fly. With that in mind, I decided that if I ever got some of those frogs again, I would need a new food source, and I decided that ants would probably be the best option. Since you have more experience than me, could you recommend any ant species that reproduces quickly enough to be a suitable food source for the frogs?

I would love to have dart frogs, but my family says NO! To them if it doesn't have four legs, fur and barks then it's not a true pet.
