I was really excited about this game and bought it, but then realized Dungeon Warfare did way much better in terms of unique maps with their own gimmick. Compared to Dungeon Warfare, Holme become much more repetitive and bland.

This is basically just Dungeon Warfare, right down to it giving you clamp traps periodically. Same traps you start out with; arrow shooter and spike floor. It's like they straight copied that game, added a bit of Slay The Spire to it and put a bad font over it all.

To speed up the rounds you can load up more traps closer to the portals the quicker you kill the mobs the quicker you can skip rounds

I did though? Unless I had two portals to manage, I generally picked the closest possible choke point.
