The end result is so good! Would love to see an update, is the cave still looking good? Is it easy/impossible to do maintenance on this tank? Be really nice to see an army of little shrimp - they’d look very otherworldly in the cave. Did you try the idea first, how did you know it’d look soo good? Also love the video - no faff!!

have you had any issues with dragon stones? I love em, but found them to be highly sedimentary. They'll pollute the tank badly. As a result, ill only buy the hardest dragon stones which are darker in color as opposed to the red one which did not work at all for me. I pressure wash them to get all the sediment off and often reveal beautiful stones.
@AquariumInfo3 жыл бұрын
Underrated comment! I have seen a huge variety in quality of dragonstone. The clay based/cheaper dragonstone will muddy up the water and break down quickly. I try to only buy the more solid rocks that don't crumble and hold their shape. I have a feeling they are sourced from different locations but all are usually labelled as Dragonstone and sold for the same price. Would always recommend seeing the feeling the rock in person before buying it

some advice for editing especially stuff around aqua scapeing/nature is speed ramps and zooms don't fit its vibe pan shots and rack focus shots are a lot calmer and go well and your audio track is a bit to loud you should invest in a gimbal and a macro lens but any way this tank is beautiful and your editing is really good i can tell you care a lot about it its my passion and job and its nice to see others care about it

I’ve been wanting to do a similar build for a couple months now. I’ve slowly gotten all the stuff now it’s time to do it. I’m just worried about haveing to clean the cave. And wondering if there would be good water circulation. I think I’m over thinking it. But very few have done this build. I think it’s amazing!
@AquariumInfo3 жыл бұрын
This is a great comment. Its about 1 month in and the tank is still looking great, the fish swim in both the cave and above the cave and I haven't yet seen any issues in circulation. I use a siphon into the cave hole to clean any of the debris, its been relatively low maintenance so far but I would recommend using small/low waste fish so you don't get a large amount of waste build on the edges of the cave or places you can't get to!
