Great animation, spooky and sublime! I do have an audio pet peeve though - whales don't really sound like that in person. The stereotypical "whale sounds" are sped up considerably to move them into human hearing range.

Fantastic!, loving the miniature worlds, Here's an Idea for one , Imagine the Titanic steaming across the ocean then you hear the famous words "Iceberg dead ahead" and as the camera zooms out it's in a glass on a bar and the iceberg is an ice cube?.

Congratulations, how well you did this ... The impression is of loneliness in the water, fear, like some underground world and that there is no other life .. In the end, the camera shows everything and the little world, and I felt so small while diving in so much depth

Nice stuff! Hey could you do another video on topology in the sort of near future? Like a continuation of your "Change Your Understanding of Topology In Six Minutes"?? That was an awesome video but really would love if you done a more in depth video of it, something longer than 6 mintues :) Like putting that topology knowledge in how you actually implement it when modeling something a bit complicated? & showing us how to use that to get good edge flow etc? I tried adding absorption but it zapped too much light out of the scene during the interior section.

@@DECODEDVFX Ah yeah, the key is to mix it with principled volume BSDF and play with the density of both. the color value of the absorption is also a factor.

Just curious why you went to so much trouble to rig the shark when a lattice would have probably got the same effect.

It wasn't a lot of work. The rigify addon supplied the rig, I just had to skin it to the mesh.

Nice tutorial, but it’s riffing so hard off Ian Hubert’s work and techniques - albeit without some of the magic. Either give him a shout out, or maybe work a bit harder on developing your own groove.

I don't see how this is anything like Ian's work. This seems like a normal workflow for a quick render. Just because it's got some cut corners doesn't mean it's copying, everyone does that when they can.
